I've been at PAX all weekend and they have a pretty cool retro/arcade section. Unfortunately no NEO GEO stuff, but some pretty cool stuff nonetheless! They did have Mars Matrix tournaments going for a bit :)

It looks a lot like Neo Turf Masta's memory card mod for the MV1C and other boards that didn't have support natively. It even clips right over the CPU like his design. Even has his name on the top of the board. Something like his design for both the UNIBIOS and memory card? Or does it just have the memory card and the BIOS is put in place of the original chip with extension wires?

Yep, these units are designed and supplied by NTM. I've been using his NeoBiosMasta since day one for the UniBios chip. These new internal memory card units are basically the NeoBiosMasta coupled with a memory card - all in one. It functions identically to an original memory card. Well built and works perfect. A lot of people have been waiting for them for a long time, glad they are finally finished and in hand!

Oh and for all those who have been waiting for SCART cable orders (individual) - those all shipped a few days ago and SCART cables are back in stock and shipping now!

Out of curiosity, how do these save options differ from on cartridge saving (afaik all NEO•GEO MVS games I have played offered high score saving on the cartridge itself). And what are the possibilities of a analogue system with a build in scanline generator and upscaler? It would be a pretty sweet deal to have those options embedded in the case.

From the NeoTurfMasta, the creator of the internal memory card:

In regards to the scanline generator, I do believe that the XRGB units have these feature (or at least some of them) and I know a ton of customers swear by them! So that is a good option.

I did not want to increase the costs of my units by including the scanline generator internally, but I could probably work with you to integrate one as a one off if you wanted! Feel free to contact me here if you'd like to talk about it.

Thanks for the additional information, never realized the high scores being saved on the system itself instead of the cartridges (I only have about 7 or 8 games, so I never ran into the trouble of saves going missing). At this moment -despite really liking the product- I'm not going to buy it, since I already have a proper arcade cabinet. I apologize if I gave you false hope for an possible sale, that was unintentional. If I'm ever going for an more compact solution I will definitely contact you to work something out!

He sells them on his website. This thread is mostly used for advertising. Gotta go to the site linked in the first post for pricing and such.

I have a strange question I just thought of. How much do you think the console casing would be worth by itself? Say I decided to get one for using the guts in my own casing and wanted to sell the carved wood casing. Any ideas? I know the console itself sells for $649 with no additional options. I'm just thinking should I want to get a MVS I'd go with a MV1C complete with UNIBIOS and extended capacity memory card. You seem to be the only one selling that option (pre installed too) without having to join the Neo Geo forums.

I unfortunately don't offer the enclosure by itself, sorry mate! But yes, it is a fully load system with the UniBios and memory card!

So you can't even take a guess as what it would cost to make the casing alone? That's what I'm asking. Not looking for the casing alone.

Oh my misunderstanding - I'm really not sure what it would be worth by itself, I've never really thought about it!
