There's someone else infront of you in the queue for that system (between you and the original user who's planning to buy it). If both of those deals fail to happen, I'll let you know.

Hi, if you get the time to list your Atari ST material I am interested in any 'Psygnosis' titles (can't really make out what is listed in those images, but I think you had one or two there) and shoot-em ups!

Plus... if you had Steinberg Cubase I'd be interested in that too. ;-)

The one I have listed is called Infestation, apparently. I also have Lemmings and Oh No! More Lemmings in one of the earlier pictures. I'm sure I had a big-box Psygnosis release of Altered Beast, but don't see it in the pictures.

It's not on my collection list, so maybe I'm going crazy... I swear I saw it last week, because I remember looking at the box and thinking "Man, Psygnosis boxes are always cool!". I'll check when I get home...

Sadly not. All of my boxed software is now listed. I have boxed (complete, I think) "STe" and "ST FM" systems, but the rest of my stuff is all disk-only (some original). If you're interested, I'll rummage through the piles and see what's available. :)

Boxed STe model Atari.... hmm, might be interested depending on price as I can use that for Cubase rather than the STFM I have here which is fixed to 1MB.

I'm pretty sure it's only got 512 KiB of RAM at the moment ("Atari 520 STE") - but I assume they're upgradable, right? It does work nicely, though; it's set up on the table next to me as I've been using it as my main ST machine for a while now. :)

No idea on the price yet, but I imagine postage will be the biggest problem (cost-wise). It's quite a large box and I think I've got the bulk of the original software with it (it's the "Discovery Xtra" package) which will weigh it down a bit.

Yeah, ST(F)ixed(M)emory hence FM, so you'd need a really dodgy soldering on memory upgrade board. Which is a pain in the rear.

or ST(E)xpandable which has a series of empty slots to upgrade to a maximum of 4Mb, which is necessary for the full Cubase package. You can get away with 1Mb though so long as you are using the basic Cubase set up.

The Discovery pack had some cool titles on it if I remember rightly. In fact as far as inclusive software packages go, it remains one of the best deals ever on a brand new system.

Can't think of that many 'out of the box' units that came with such cool free stuff! (As this is Assembler, I am sure someone will contradict me and prove another deal offered something way cooler!)

Er... the F stood for Floppy Drive and the M stood for Modulator. The original Atari 520ST looked like the big brother to the Atari 65XE. There are 520STM, 520STF models too...

But you are right the memory was a pain to upgrade as it did require a bit(!) of soldering...

Well the E stood for enhanced... however some of the 520STE models have the memory soldered into the machine so expanding it past 1MB is tricky. Atari were pissed at people buying the 520STE and expanding it to 1MB for around 40 quid and not buying the more expensive 1040STE.

HA HA HA !!!!! Well, that told me eh! We used them in a studio a long time ago and that's how they were described to me by the guy who ran it. Subsequently I have continued to use that prefix for almost 20 years.

I've owned a fair few Atari STe units and not found one yet that had the memory soldered.

Well, you live and learn! I'm just not going to believe anything ANYONE says to me - I shall rely more readily on Wiki lol (joking!)

Well looks of people go on what they were told, read and it sticks, Wankopedia is just as bad as it has these deluded people writing their "Factz" about something. Then again you can't believe anything that anyone write on the internet, just take everything with a grain of salt.

I've come across one atari STE that had some SIMMs soldered to the board with the other two SIMMs removed... but then again I've seen more 1040STEs then 520STEs

    Added a few more items:

    PSX SCPH-5502 (complete and working)
Mini Poly 2000 (boxed but faulty)
Power Joy Super Max famiclone (complete and working)
Arcade Action II famiclone (complete and unused)
Binatone TV Master Mk IV (boxed but faulty)
    Barcode Battler (complete and working)
    Pokemon Mini game thing (complete)
A few cart-only Mega Drive games

Discounts offered on bulk purchases of games. I want the ST games gone, because they're taking up a load of space. I've applied a few small price-drops, too.

Some of the links to pictures for the new things you posted don't work. If you don't sell thee Binatone console do you want to donate it to a good cause for the cost of postage?

Thanks for pointing that out; I think I've fixed them all now.

As for the Binatone: what sort of "good cause"?

    Hi mate,

The Spectrum+ doesn't do sound through the telly - turn the sound down for God's sake! It has an internal speaker. Didn't you hear a little ticking sound coming from the computer as you typed?

The original Spectrums took the first letter hit as a command - the commands are written on the keys. For example, J is LOAD. So if you type J"" you get LOAD "" (which loads the first thing on tape). Exactly the same commands as on a rubber keyed Spectrum, and they're also written on the +2, +2A and +3 (and work in 48k mode). On the + there were more things written on the keys, but IIRC it was always the top command unless you held down a shift key or whatever.

It's all in the manual ;-)

As for black-and-white, you probably need to use an old TV - Spectrums don't much like modern televisions!
