My Bad - saw ftp uptime hours and it wasn't gonna do a 6 hour upload within 3 hours so I stopped it, I'll start it again when I go out tomorrow morning.

Also it is the iso of the original (for backup purposes) incase my house burns down and the disc melts :smt083

 

Umm Hongxing I'm feeling a little ignored here. You've posted in this thread 3 times since I requested but not mentioned my request at all - here or in PM. I know its only been a bit over 24 hours, but the others got access quicker. I know its past the server hours now so I'll have a longer wait, but a little recognition wouldn't be amiss!

I also notice that some members have actually been board members less than a month and made few posts - hardly what I call "registered here some time". However, looking at the people, I'd say good choice ;-) I know one has some nice tools - would be nice to see some hehe.

Also, I wouldn't post the IP publically like that. Leaves you open to DDoS attacks, and that probably wouldn't make you too popular!

Thanks! For some reason the folders in the root no longer appear. i have to type them in.

 

Please note:

All error-check uploads are moved into the "Checked" folder and then sorted. All errounous or incomplete uploads remain in the "Incomplete" folder.

 

I think my problem was a passive issue.

 

Sorry, I oversee some posts. It's a bit chaotic here.

If new members have offers, I also give access. I just want to prevent only-leeching.

It's no problem, if something happens, I can easily move it to another IP. The files are safe, as I can backup this machine locally.

Thanks too for sharing. I want to help others and myself, who got debuggers and actually want to do development, but have no tools.

What connection is the FTP on? Is there a limit to how many users can be logged in/transferring at a time? Will there be if 100 more users log in?

 

The FTP is on a direct connection (no dialup).

I don't know how fast, but maximum speeds are around 80kb/s

Maybe there will be.

If you want good download speed, it's better to login at times, where other parts of the world are sleeping... If you are in USA, better try when Europe is sleeping.

Sometimes FTP is also up outside of "normal" operating hours, when they forget to turn off the machines (which is good for us).

 

Can Serv-U WHO & ZONE commands be turned on?
