It's EPIC but I've been away from it for so long that when I got back to pick my game up where I left off I totally forget what I'm supposed to do.
RE: Okami First impressions: I almost off'ed myself just trying to get through the intro. It was a LONG bit of (X)-mashing. I was legitimately excited, to some degree, to start the game. Almost ruined it for me. I saved at the first spot and shut it off. I'll start again tomorrow. I mean, I don't mind a long intro. Not at all. As long as I don't have to sit there and press a button to advance lifeless text for 25 fucking minutes.
alecjahn, that was my exact reaction. I bought it new when it came out and it was still sealed tilla a couple weeks back. Finally decided to give it a try, and somehow managed to turn of the PS3 without saving after the intro. Havent touched it in weeks.
I probably overshot the estimate of intro length, but it certainly didn't draw me in and I just wanted it to end. Maybe I'm not fit for some modern games. Just thinking of Super C (I posted about it in some thread earlier today), you repel out of a helicopter, and within seconds are shooting the crap out of some baddies. This is the same reason I barely started my dot.hack game. Note that I'm also not the type of person to read books recreationally, but that's possibly due to my difficulties in reading at times. @gungriffonEX - I, similarly, have owned this game for well over a year and never put it in.
''Does your wife know you're cheating on her?'' Seaman is sooo much fun, some of the random shit he comes out with had me in stitches
indeed, my partner said I was nuts, seeing me sitting in my room, talking to a fish that lives in my tv
Forgot to post completing Fallout 3. The DLC wasn't enabled, so I ticked the boxes, tried to load up my save but it was gone... 30 or so hours down the pan. Never fear for I started a new game on the hardest difficulty and put 50 hours in, was lvl 30 and did all the non DLC stories. The next day I go to load up my 50 hour save... it has vanished and my 30 hour save on normal reappeared... and worked with the DLC FFS! Also I've completed Dawn of War II, DoW2 Chaos Rising and I'm about to start DoW2 Retribution
Dead Rising 2, with the S ending. Fun game, similar to Dead Rising 1 in many things but fun overall. Don't like much the being time controlled all the time but one gets used to it, as in DR1. Now I'm up to some coop fun
*looks at Inferno II* Yeah, I think I'm done with Trials HD... I can survive without completing Goin Up and Inferno 2...
Last game I finished was Silent Hill 3. It´s a decent game but didn´t have by far the same impact on me as the prequels had. I don´t like the monsters and the whole plot was mostly uninteresting.
I just beat Half Life 2 for like the 20th time. That's one of those games I can play over and over again and never get bored of it. It still looks good, too. Certainly far surpassed by modern games in terms of graphics, but it was very impressive for its time (if you had a fast computer, anyway). And in any case, it's a beautiful game from an aesthetic point of view. I am anxiously awaiting Episode 3/Half Life 3. Black Mesa looks like it'll be pretty awesome too, and it's very near at hand, I think.
