Deus Ex: Human Revolution >> the end of the game was somehow lame but I enjoyed the rest of the game very much!
hi everyone just finished Super Metroid with 98% collection rate must have missed something? If you've never played this game, PLAY IT.I remember playing this when i was like 12, still plays amazing even after all those years and sounds great. One of the greatest games ever made!
I just beat Earthworm Jim 2 and Half Life (not at the exact same time). EWJ2 is still a classic. Half Life is cool, but after playing through it and HL2 many times, I think I actually like HL2 more. Hard to explain why; maybe I'll elaborate on it later.
Dinosaurs for Hire This game needs a lot of practice to finish it (and it has this typical and annoying "you can't end game on Easy level" right before the last level!), but it's so fun that you don't mind to play it many times. And there's no ending or full walkthrough video for this game on YouTube that also motivates to complete it.
Finished Valkyria Chronicles - top game Just finished Resident Evil 5- don't know how i managed to finish this piece of shit. The story and voice acting sucked I'm thinking about playing it for the 101th time myself, if only because I bought Resident Evil DC on PSN during the Halloween sale and finished it.
Tactics Ogre - Let Us Cling Together - PSP Mainly played it while watching streams, so the story was lost on me, but it was a solid game.
I just beat Mom's Heart on Binding of Issac last night, I did manage to get into Sheol once (before fighting Mom's Heart), but Satan whooped up on me. Now to get a full collection (which seems to be painfully slow), since I am at ~40%
Man, I also hate RE5.... I played it right after playing Dead Space and it just felt like a huge step backwards both in gameplay and fun.
Just finished Resi 5 even though i should have already finished it in co-op but for some reason chapter 5-3 decided that it wasn't complete despite every other chapters being completed with achievements gained in doing so.
Yeah Dead Space is so much better, at least you can walk and aim at the same time! Finished Jak & Daxter The Precursor Legacy last night
Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. 2 (albeit on easy - I suck these days, so sue me ) There was a few annoying issues. Firstly upon Steam install the game refused to boot/kept crashing. This was because Steam neglected to install the stupid Ubisoft Game Launcher for that uplay crap. Secondly due to the mandatory requirement to have an online connection for offline play, I lost connection some way off a checkpoint (albeit only once) and had to do some work again. It was less of an issue given that I died regularly anyway but it is still somewhat annoying and unecessary - though I would imagine it is for storing the game save state to a cloud. Lastly both the DirectX 9 and DirectX 11 modes share the same config/settings .ini file so if you boot the game in one mode, options get disabled or screwed up in the other. Given that the game has two execustables it shouldn't be much of a big deal for them to have two settings too. For example if you set the game up @ 720p in DirectX 11 mode, exit then boot into DirectX 9 mode - teselation will be disabled and 32x CSAA will be dropped to 16x Q CSAA, which is not unusual as AFAIK they are DirectX 11 features, but then if you quit then load back into DirectX 11 mode it will still be using the DirectX 9 forced settings. If you set DirectX 9 mode to 1080i then load into DirectX 11 mode, it will drop to about 2-3 FPS and have a hissy fit. A major plus though is that it natively supports the Xbox 360 Controller for Windows <3 In spite of the difficulty setting, or lack of, due to my screen I had the choice of playing at 1920 x 1080i via DirectX 9 or 1280 x 720p via DirectX 11 (albeit I prefer WXGA aka 1280 x 768 due to my display's scaling issues). In either mode the game did look lovely and despite my system being relatively budget @ under £1000 inc tax and OS, I feel the system did the job more than good enough for me, though I do still wish I could afford to do better. The only consolation I have I guess is that even in DirectX 9 mode the game looks vastly superior to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions but more than that, I got to experience it in the beautiful DirectX 11 flavour to boot Just as a FYI - with all in game options maxed @ WXGA (DirectX 11 mode for tesselation loveliness doesn't seem to support 1080i and my screen won't do 1080p so...) and the nVidia control panel options set to High Quality where possible the system was more than capable of easily maintaining 60 FPS - even with Lucid Logix Virtu iGPU mode siphoning off some performance. Naturally in High Quality driver mode there was a substantial FPS hit of about 40 FPS difference but the game was still well above the threshold for smooth play. My High Quality settings WXGA benchmark screenshot here. Disclaimer: vysnch is off for benchmarking purposes. I usually play with triple buffered vsynch on, which obviously limits the maximum FPS thus would otherwise skewer the benchmarking results. I have yet to try the multiplayer on this and I'm sure given my current state of affairs I'll get my arse handed to me, but I welcome all challengers
Unchartered 3 in 3D - amazing visuals, ok story - but gameplay is the same as the others. Still enjoyable and not sure what "extra" should have been involved. It's def a movie that you play - and to make it difficult loads of bad guys to shoot.
finished Dead Island last weekend, very good game but has some annoying bugs (crashing when people connect to your game over live etc.) but quite happy with it a few people above mentioned Resident Evil 5 and their hatred for it, well i agree about the story being a little lacking and the Voice Acting was awful (however remember Resident Evil 1 + 2 they were hardly A+ in the voice acting were they?), overall i thought the game was good and had some excellent moments and alot of replay value
Lost Planet 2 for PC, albeit on easy. I will go back through on all of the difficulty settings and S rank it, but I feel as though I've got nothing to prove having dropped 400+ hours into this game doing it S rank for every difficulty on PlayStation 3. The graphical difference is astounding though and it supports the Xbox 360 controller for Windows so win-win. The only downside being, probably because the title is over a year old and that it was poorly rated is that there are now very few players online. This is somewhat annoying as a big feature of the game is the 4 player co-operative action and on the harder difficulties humans are needed as the bots are just lol. Still I managed to hook up with two italian chaps earlier and we went through the start of Chapter 4 to the end of Chapter 5 together. A lot of people loathe this game and I'd be the first to accept there is room for improvement, but I just love the Starship Troopers feel of an ineffective Assault Rifle plugging away forever to drop giant alien insect like creatures who can drop you with a single hit so it gets a thumbs up from me.
I just finished the first TMNT game for NES. Seriously, this game doesn't mess around when it comes to difficulty. Never have I had to work so hard for an extra life, which is essentially rescuing a few captured turtles at certain areas of the game. To this day, I've still yet to complete it without dying. I managed to do so with the first Ninja Gaiden once, so you have an idea how tough/frustrating TMNT I can be.
I just completed Homefront on Normal. It was a decent enough game but bloody hell it was short - it definitely wasn't worth me paying full price for it which makes me glad I got it 75% off.
