Just finished replaying through GTA IV (360) on friday, been going through sopping up old achievements I never got. Also trying to get in the mood for GTA V. I replayed San Andreas before I restarted GTA IV but ended up using cheats for some missions. That game is so damn hard. I'm going to play through TLAD and TBOGT as well, then after that it's Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3. When I finally get through that trilogy I've got Far Cry 3 and Assassin's Creed 3 lying around to play through. All of this before GTA V comes out. Then I'll have the time from GTA V release to PS4 release to finish that as well.
I'm so stoked for GTAV. I can't wait. I still need to finish TBOGT and some achievements. But a few of GTAIV's achievements are RIDICULOUS.
Awesome game if just for nostalgia's sake, although playing as Tails is pretty much cheating. Finding all the pigeons was bad enough for me, since you don't even get anything for doing it. No idea how I ever 100%'d San Andreas though, some of the stuff you need to do is just ridiculous.
I can second that. Flying a helicopter under the bridges wasn't too bad, I did that in 5-6 minutes but I can't get a turkey in bowling for the life of me. I spent about 2 hours last night playing bowling over and over and over again and I didn't even get two strikes in a row! I'm really not fussed about it but for something I thought would be easy I was really surprised.
Once I open up all the city, that's when I stop playing story etc. Many times I plan to finish the story I just end up getting sidetracked lol
I completed Megaman 1 and Robo Warrior/Bomberking on a NES emulator recently. Both super-hard games and I have to admit I did cheat and use the rewind button :-(
Now also beat as Amy. I guess I should start beating Sonic Drift 2, but the first one is more fun to me if only because it saves best times and has a better drift sound. The AI in drift 2 is cheap too.
I would go as far to say as those are the "easy" achievements in the game. It's the multiplayer ones that are absolutely killer/near impossible... Especially this late in the game. A few are just insanely time consuming. -_- Anyways, I just finished Fable 3 last night. For a free game it was quite enjoyable! ^_^ Now onto collect everything....
The Last of Us - PS3 Quite a bit longe than I expected at abour 14 hours. Great for the most part, outside of a sequence that should have stayed in an Uncharted game and some "kill all the enemies to open the door" sections that dont play to the games strengths
My roommate let me borrow Medal of Honor: Warfighter. It's a standard military FPS story, blah, blah, blah. But what was really fun was the gameplay. I loved the peaking mechanic. All these FPS's these days are like, "Oh, had behind cover cus whatever," but they never give you any way to use the cover except for crouching behind it and slowly peaking out. But Warfighter did it right, and it was quite enjoyable. Better than BlopsII anyways. :topsy_turvy:
Mark of the Ninja on New Game Plus with all achievements. Awesome, albeit short (24 hours) game. I also completed Fez sort of. I had a whole bunch of normal cubes along with several antimatter cubes and decided to have a nosey in the 32 cube door. Annoyingly, it was the end of the game and it deliberately wiped my save so I was forced to start over, but I really CBA farming all of the cubes over again just for an achievement or two right now. Interesting game though, worth the money. The fixed perspective 2D representation of a 3D world is kind of what I had in mind for the Intergalactic Sentinel Vanguard idea I had in 2004, though I'd have done it differently by having two separate 2D perspectives shown at the same time for a proper mindfuck. Oh well...
I finished Earthbound on the SNES 30 minutes ago. It was my first time playing it and it was an amazing experience. I didn't expect it to be such a great game. I'd heard it was good but I wasn't expecting it to be this good. Now I want to play Earthbound Zero and Mother 3 this year and maybe replay Earthbound on the WiiU next year.
I finished StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm a few days ago. I really enjoyed it, and while I'm really looking forward to Legacy of the Void, I know that realistically it's probably two or three years away.
Just finished Rayman (PS1). I had played before but never finished it, it's a sweet 2D platformer. Right now I'm starting Hexen and Batman: Arkham Asylum.
Trine 2 (PC) Beautiful and fun Platorm/Puzzle game. Its a tiny bit longer that it needed to be, but still highly recommended. Also even though I beat Portal 2 Single player when it came out, a friend and I beat co-op last night. Tons of laughs, fun, and cursing were had.
Just finally got around to finishing DMC - Devil May Cry! Picked it up like 6 months ago...played the first few chapters & never got around to completing it until recently. Not anywhere near as good as DMC 4 I must say...
