One more thing about KH2. It would have been a LOT better if the difficulty wasn't reduced to nil. Seriously, KH2 takes button mashing to a whole other level. Only two bosses can't be beat by button mashing, and those two are Xaldin and Sephiroth. Plus the AI somehow got worse in KH2 as well.

F-Zero GX : bad art direction, characters should shut the hell up. I d prefer the comic-book design of F-zero X. Music could benefit from more metal tunes

Animal Crossing DS - no emulated games in it? not a chance

Faxanadu on the NES: the gravity ont heir planet is 10 times more forceful than ours it seems, and although he can jump , margin of error is too high for platforming.

PGR3 on 360: needed more cars, and open levels - I like driving on the mountainside in the rain;)

    Pikmin 1: 30 day time limit - i still beat it though;D

Diddy Kong Racing DS- they took a perfectly good and difficult game and turned it into a kid's game. I beat everything on my first attempt, including mirror mode, finished the game in a week.

Killer 7 - lack of progressive scan, can't play it on my setup (my LCD monitor can only do 480p) - same issue exists with the Wii's user menu, since it runs always in 480i (I don't see the reason though)

Goldeneye - Its only real fault was that it was too addictive and it distracted me from getting on with day to day life for far too long! :D

    but seriously..

Starwars EP1 - Extremely Crappy Camera Angles
    RE Series - Crappy Controls!
Metal Gear Solid - not gripping enough, too slow at times
Chase HQ - they never did a sequel on a later platform which could have used the idea further!

True on the backlight....I had one of those pelican screen protector/light things and that lasted me till SP. However, I wish they had a backlight version of the old GBA...I liked the shape and controls a lot more. With SP my pinkies stick out and it's annoying to reach up to the shoulder buttons, buttons stick in the face, etc. The new SP screens are so nice though.

I think that was just original Game Boy though. They had afterburner lights for GBA though.

the original GBA design was the best one of the series, ergonomically - even the DS-lite can't stand a chance next to it. Unfortunately, there's no official backlit (or front-lit) version of it. shame

Regarding good looks though, I dare to say that the original GameBoy Pocket (silver) is the damn sexiest handheld ever.

The Gameboy Color had a colour screen and was easy to view and play. Not sure why they managed to balls it up for the GBA.

Daytona USA (Dreamcast) - Why do Sega feel the need to balls up the release of one of their biggest games ever? The DC version could have been arcade perfect but no, in the original Japanese version they mess up the steering wheel options and the car feels too skittish with the pad.

Wii (Console) - Nice one Nintendo add to the battery mountain and be as ungreen as possible by making the Wii use AA batteries and not make them last that long in the process.

I actually found the GameBoy color's display to be rather dark and unsettling. The first generation of GBA games were developed without regard to the unlit screen, since developers used PC monitors to develop the game. For this reason, brightness settings and lighter color pallettes can be found in many later GBA games.

I loved the original GBA, but the ergonomics were a pain cause I would find that my hands would suddenly start going numb because I have larger hands and the curves created pressure points.

Animal Crossing - OK you are gonna create a game with emulated NES games in it, and you even advertise them, in the players guide.....but you give players NO WAY to get those games unless they use an unlicensed cheat device. Wow.... wonderful marketing there nintendo

Sonic Adventure 2 - take Sonic Adventure 1, add in some crappy secondary characters and play modes and a horribly corny story. I'm lucky I even beat this game let alone spent the money on it.

SA2 was a very elaborate acrobatics-based score-game that took a good player time and effort to master (regarding sonic and shadow levels)

the rest of the game, including Knuckles/Rouge, and Robotnik/Tails was rubbish though.

In Animal Crossing on the GC, there are legit ways to have access to the emulated games actually.

I find myself enjoying Super Mario Bros and Wario's Woods on a Wii through GC emulation, instead of paying the VC service:p - the GBA transfer was also something nice!

Tetris DS: Totally fucked up one of the best games ever. You can now rotate the piece like 500 times even if i has hit the bottom. This totally ruins the concept of speed-up levels. It made the game totally piss easy and boring.

Mortal Kombat: Any fighting game that uses a button to block is not done. Unnatural controls are a sin, which brings me to the next one:

Driver/Burnout series: I appreciate that these games are not sims, but damn, you should at lest try to get the car physics somewhat right. All vehicles drive like scooters and react so unlike real cars its not even funny. An example of an arcade racer that got it right is the Ridge Racer series.

In general any game that doesn't reward mastering gameplay by implementing some kind of score system is crap to me. We need to go back to games with no savepoints and no unlimited continues, where the score matters instead of progressing through a script in order to finish the game.

Very true! I just got the 360 sonic thinking it would be still enjoyable like those games and holy crap, it's unplayable. It seems like it could be fun though. How can Sega let something like that ship??

    F-zero GX:

less frustating tracks, no auto death from falling down the track.

    king of fighters 2001:

igniz is INSANE, even for the crazy difficult levels in the series' final monster

I can forgive the poor standard mode (it's not like I'm short of copies of regular Tetris anyway), because puzzle mode is just pure delight. Worth the price of admission alone.

Tetris DS i my frequent lover whenever I turn on my DS. That game just packs so much content , and a Tetris nostalgic like myself is bound to love it.

That said, I have hit level 98 in unlimited mode, with a score for 2.600.000 almost , which makes it clear that it's not a hard game as it should be - that doesn't mean its not fun, i m not mazochistic.
