Who the hell designed the flying physics in that game. Oh you can invert the controls but only for looking. I am having a real hard time doing the last (I think) mission where you fly around in the ship. I am used to other flight games, you press down to go up etc. Fuckers.
I was always hoping for a Tour of Duty FPS game, that would've rocked big time. Alas, since Sony couldn't even get their DVD releases sorted out properly because of the music licenses, I didn't have my hopes up for long. Closest we got was Shellshock Nam '67, wich I liked very much because of its matching spirit and this actually sparked my interest for the aformentioned title...
When I was young I wanted a sonic and mario platformer, and why did metroid have to go 3D? I want a proper 2d metroid in HD bishes!!!!!!
Half-Life 1 and 2 were innovative for their time with scripted events and physics, respectively. Quake 1 was pretty much the game that revolutionized online multiplayer. I don't think Halo is really innovative, but it is my favorite ongoing FPS franchise by far, because it's the only one that has multiplayer at least a little reminiscent of the old PC FPS games.
And to think I had a lot of time / respect for you as a Saturn / Gunstar fan. (It's a Halo game only in name, so just an FPS...and a poor one at that. IMO of course...) Anyway, back on topic Bayonetta 360 expansion pack - more enemy types, more weapons, more levels. Bayonetta 2 360 (or 720)...here's hoping. A decent Gunstar Heroes sequel, not that Future / Super rehash. Official English Shining Force 3 Scenarios 2 and 3.
Axelay 2, a new Super Metroid in HD, a decent Ace Combat 7, Wip3out HD, Front Mission 6... But the other day (well, about a year ago), I had the nerdiest, DORKIEST dream I have ever had. And I woke up and got angry it wasn't real. In the dream, Namco-Bandai had announced "Ace Combat Macross" (I had been playing Dynasty Warriors Gundam, so maybe that caused the dream). It was fantastic - the Ace Combat style gameplay with a lot of Macross locales and mechs, and orchestral music. It was going to be fucking great. I woke up and was very angry this wasn't real.
I used to have dreams about the Next Street Fighter Sequel. For Example I had a Dream Street Fighter III would be 3d, though it would be a while Street Fighter IV's China Stage looked Almost EXACTLY like it did in my dream 10 years prior. After 3rd Stirke I had a Dream about SF IV but that has yet to come to fruition as it had Guilty Gear Type Sheilds and otherwise looked exactly like SF III. Both Times Chun Li and Ken were in the Screen shots I had seen in my dreams. I posted awhile ago about my dream game (as in I had a dream one night) where I was fighting things with Hatchets the closest thing to that dream that actually came to be was Dante's inferno and Darksiders.
Willy Meets the Taxman (one of the announced Jet Set Willy sequels) Kick In Italia 90 (a hoax game invented by a trade weekly, apparently the game was about controlling a bunch of football hooligans duing the 1990 world cup) Which makes me think... sure, it was just a joke back then, but how controversial (i.e. great for publicity) would a game about mindless football hooliganism be? Hell, I couldn't care less about the sport but I'm well aware of the massive following games like FIFA have. A serious hooligan management game... now that would be something! Back on planet earth: Shenmue 3 or a new Jet Set Radio sequel, and preferably something that isn't as easy as JSRF and closer to the difficulty of JSR.
Any Jet Set Radio Sequel should combine the trick system of JSRF and the tagging system of JSR while closer visually to JSR Future seemed a bit off to me.
Back in the early nineties when Red Dwarf was at its height I really badly wanted a game based on the Tv programme on the snes, either a platformer or top down adventure *sigh* 'twas not meant to be
Man, people need to get it straight...is the game bad because it's just more of the same, or is it bad because it's changed? Because apparently it's both (I think it's very much a Halo game and that's a good thing in this case) When GTA 1 was new, I had a dream about a 3D GTA. Ha, my dream actually came true. Yeah, maybe it could've been as good as all the Doctor Who games...actually, a good Doctor Who game needs to exist, because there's never been one. I had some hope for Eternity Clock, but it's fucking horrible. I'd settle for a good Judge Dredd game though, since there's never been one of those either and the license would be so much easier to get right (come on, Rebellion owns 2000 AD...)
Shenmue 3 is the obvious one. A few years ago 1UP (I think?) had a huge interview with Yukio Futatsugi. In it, he talked about his idea for a proper sequel to Panzer Dragoon Saga (rather, his idea of a game that would take place after the events of PDSaga, not that non-sensical garbage that was in Orta, Azel found Edge's DNA in the astral plane give me a fucking break). Anyways, I would have loved to have seen this game. Anything in the PD world from Futatsugi would be golden.
A good Doctor who game would have to be set in the Time War, imagine tardises (tardi?) and darleks dog fighting overhead whilst your on the ground fighting Davros and His Guards....awesome xD
Donkey Kong Racing, or some follow up to Diddy Kong Racing on a future/present gen console was always my dream. -Doom
That was a joke while they were working on megatree, which doesn't exist either as it was canned after three months. http://www.gamesthatwerent.com/gtw64/megatree-jsw3/ Software Projects went with Jet Set Willy 2 instead, which was based on the Jet Set Willy port to the Amstrad CPC (it had more ram than the spectrum and the developers just started adding rooms). Management and artists don't mix well, it's possible to do but you need to have compromise on both sides. If you've just knocked out two best sellers, then being pressured to do it a third time in quick succession is unrealistic.
No, they should never show the Time War in any form, because it would ruin the whole idea that the show has spent several seasons building up by not living up to that, just like that time they revealed the Time Lords were still alive and had become evil for no reason. Also, technically they'd have to get McGann or Eccleston to be the Doctor.
