I own three copies of Super Metroid, and yes I know it was called 3. But I want a more proper 3, maybe even kill Samus off. I think it'd be kinda cool if a main character like her gets killed off.
Halo? I think you mean Master Chief. Sort of, but what I had in mind would take place in the present day, and would include NPCs. What I'm really interested in, and what I don't really see any games currently doing, is a game with a very high level of detail. What I mean is that you could interact with anything in the game just as you could in real life - like, for example, if you saw a wall that was crumbling, you could scratch at it and pull a tiny chunk off of it. Or you could pick up a single blade of grass in a field. That's what I mean by "reality simulator": a virtual world that you can interact with just like you would in the real world. I think we're a ways off from being able to pull that off technologically, but maybe not too far.
Clearly he meant after these masterpieces... Although I wouldn't call Generations or SA2 one of them. They are good, however. & @ la-li-lu-le-lo I think everyone wants something like that, I just don't see it happening at the level we are imagining it would be anytime soon, if at all. I still wonder what it would take to even tackle such a project, & then I think just a massive number of people on the development team would be needed, but I would see that as being a convoluted mess from the start. I just hope to see something like that in my lifetime... with some Virtual Reality Goggles to boot!
Really? You probably noticed that Metroid and Doctor Who aren't the names of the main characters either.
I meant newer games dude. Everything after original SA2 for Dreamcast fell rather short of expectations. Although I rather like Shadow the Hedgehog it still falls short. And I have the Xbox version...
a sonic FPS game. would be truely epic... bring back raven software and get them id, epic and croteam to do it.
Wasn't Shadow the Hedgehog bad enough? I can only imagine what kind of way-too-serious storyline a Sonic FPS would have if the platformers can have convoluted crap like the Adventure 1 & 2 stories.
In case you didn't get a chance to play the arcade machine that Disney made for Tron: Legacy... http://www.spaceparanoidsonline.com/
My vote is for... Virtua Cop: England Instead of guns, you run around using a Truncheon. You can use Samba De Amigo controllers to simulate beating on people.
