    For me it would be to get 480p out of the Wii on to my PC CRT which looks a lot better than my other displays, I had some cheap cable that didn't have the right/missing resistors so it would desynch on white screens but the picture is really good.

    I think I read something abut the framemeister treating the signal better through it's RGB in versus some other way?

    You can add scanlines and the image is better since RGB/VGA is handled better than component in some cases.

    Now available to preorder from beharbros.com

    If your console is outputting component (via modding, or custom cables), it can output the same resolution through VGA/Scart.
    Instead you can use RGB Scart cables for these consoles.

    Thanks, I already have a kenzei can I connect my ouput scart cable from my Genesis console to the input of my kenzei
    Can I use the scart to RCA RGBS pass-through conversion

    Genesis=>Kenzei=>Garo=>TV ( VGA or Scart )

    Any comparison as to how the Framemeister handles the signal?
    For example, PS2->component->D-link adapter->Framemeister compared to PS2->component->GARO->SCART->mini DIN->Framemeister
    Thanks!

    No, it can't convert from RGB source, only component. You can use the Kenzei as a Scart to RCA pass-through adapter, but why do you want to use the Garo ?

    I look for an esay way to use my old consoles ( Genesis/Famicom ) on my TV without spend a lots of money like a Framemeister

    Kenzei can't add scanline, I have an Hanzo+Kenzei, sorry for my bad English but I thought Garo was the solution

    Will the Garo be able to have a boost to the gamma in the picture like the old RTC2200? http://www.curtpalme.com/RTC2200.shtm

    One of the issues I've encountered with other component to RGB transcoders is that the "gamma" or "chroma" sometimes needs a boost depending on the source. Darker colors appear too dark, so you lose a lot of detail. You can crank up the brightness on your monitor to compensate, but then blacks appear grey rather than black.

    I haven't used that converter, its designer passed away last year as I remember...
    It boosts the gamma and enhances the image, makes it more vibrant and sharper. But it doesn't have a button for that.
    All I can say it's better than Audio Authority and JS Technologies.

    Hey Beharius, would it possible to actually test this on a PC crt, they seem to be a lot more sensitive to TVs when it comes to transcoders.

    Would a model 1 Genesis AC adapter work for the Garo? Or do you have a specific one you would recommend?

    Sorry to steal the Garo's thunder here, but you're saying that the Kenzei will take a SCART signal and output it through RCA, right? Like SCART to Component? Does the Kenzei also output audio through RCA?

    It outputs from scart to separate RCA RGBS. Component is different from RGBS. I mean RGB +CSYNC
    It can output audio through RCA jacks if you feed it from scart. These can be adjusted by its jumper settings.
