It's getting delayed because I barely have time for SCART switch.

I see! Hope you are getting enough rest in between each batch. We all appreciate your hard work and your contribution to the retro scene! If the composite/component switch is half as good as the SCART switch it'll be more than worth the wait! We'll just have to sit tight and be patient. :)

Ah the SCART switch is already high on my "things to get" list so I'm really excited for this too.

How easy will it be to have this placed on it's side? I'm not too keen on having it face upwards.

It's taller than gscartsw but still you may need to affix it to the surface somehow because cables will add a lot of weight.

Ah nice, just spotted this. I'll definitely be going for at least one when you have everything finalised.

Glad this is slowly coming into reality. I've followed and will order once it is ready. Thanks a lot!

While we are waiting patiently for this to come to fruition, what would be a decent budget option for a component switch that wouldn't have too much interference?

I'm in for one if it's under 100$. Two if it's less than 70$.

    ???
Not sure what you mean by that.

I meant that i'd buy one if it was less than 100$. But would buy at least two if they were under 70$ each. (Because I have more than 4 input devices. Though, I could live with just the 4 if it's on the pricier side)

Though that might be a bit too much wishful thinking. Did you have an idea of price? Ballpark?

Just kidding. I don't know the final price yet but what I know is that price is defined by parts, labor and my premium, forum posts don't affect the price in any way :)

    1. Thanks for being badass.
    2. See #1.
    3. Have you tested switching from SCART to YUV converters and component signals with this? Say I'm going from the gscartsw to a YUV converter to this device for example. Would it switch. I'd sign up for a couple pending price as well.

No, I haven't. But there is somebody who converts gscartsw output to component and it works.

Just out of curiosity, which systems use component cables? Sitting here wondering if I'll be needing a second one!

    And of those:
The GameCube has a hdmi cable or mod if you prefer from http://www.badassconsoles.com/gcvideo/
The Ps2 has the option to output via RGsB (or was it RGBs? I forget) via scart which is slightly better.
The Ps3 and 360 have hdmi out as well.

So really the main contenders would be the Xbox, PSP, and Wii.

PS2 can output RGsB but the solution is a little complicated (http://www.retrorgb.com/playstation.html). I'm going to be attempting this as soon as I receive my Rxi-to-Framemeister BNC cables (http://www.ebay.com/itm/201660930373?rmvSB=true). Bob from retroRGB thinks this is kind of a more versatile setup solution that you can use for other setups too.
