Direct feed footage would be very nice, I've been looking for that for quite some time.

 

Yakumo has some that I uploaded to him a few years back. It's in MPEG-1, VCD format. When I get some free time I've been meaning to dig up the oriignal tape and recapture it in MPEG-2. Yeah, I know VCD format isn't that high res, but hey it's about equivalent to VHS tape and that's what the source was from so there.

As soon as I get done with my current projects I'll looking into getting it taken care of. Probably be early next month.

It won't boot, but do you know why? Silly I know, but did they use the System 2 disc to boot it?

Sorry but thats crap. Blue katana discs were just the first run of GDRWs. Thats why some burners say Katana burner etc on them.

 

I was just mentioning the fact that spindles of 50 or loose "orange Dreamcast" GD-Rs can be found and many are available. It's even possible to duplicate games with them.

Now, how many spindles of "Blue Katana" GD-Rs have you seen? ;-)

 

agreed, they are technically rare, but the real rare ones are the all white ones with the orange Sega logo on them

Lovely, the hunt for a beta will be renewed with such cool images, I wasn't sure my DC could do that.

 

In his resume, Chris says he worked on other 2 Dreamcast canned games: Gameworld and Frogpond and a Genesis game: Spinny & Spike.

Anyone knows anything about them? Maybe Chris can tell us/share something about them?

 

He posted some stuff on Spinny and Spike at his forums, I'll post it up here sometime.

Yeah, the shots I posted are from a video. I also have the ones that you have posted above on my ftp with a few others. It's a real shame that this game was never released. Bloody politics ! They say it was canned due to quality issues which I find very hard to believe when loads of crap was released. Politics and dumb decisions made by suits who know sweet F.A. ! Same reason why there was no Saturn or DC Bear Knuckle / Streets of Rage game.
