I have finally found an alcohol that I can drink without a chaser and without gagging on(screw you coors light!) Anyone got something else like schnapps they love? I'm almost done with this 5th.:icon_bigg
People put e in their whisky? ;-) My favourite bevvie is a nice pint of Abbeydale brewery's Moonshine (ale).
In the beginning I was into the more expensive beer, such as hoegardden, corona, etc. to get a taste going. Now I'm into the cheap stuff: natural ice light, miller lite, bud light. guiness is way over rated.
I have no problems with most hard alc. Tequila (pure) or Whisky are my favs though... although I like Calvados as well. Gin is a killer, I hate it :O
WTF? You compare piss water like miller lite with Guiness?! To answer the original poster, go for a higher priced spirit and you'll find it much easier to drink. I like dark rum and I have found Captain Morgan private stock to be very nice indeed. I also like Jim Beam Black Label, it is aged longer than white label and is very smooth. A nice single malt whisky is good too.
Well, I don't like beer at all (the bitter after taste is what kills it for me, so I call beer, even the ones who people are crazy about) foxpiss. So I am into the hard spirits, such as tequila , uisce beatha/uisge beatha , Gammel Dansk (if I am drunk enough cause to me it taste like cheap tobacco and sour socks) , vodka , bourbon , absinthe , Nordsø Olie , and so forth. And the only time I drink beer, is when my tastebuds are already fucked by any other hard liquor.
I vote for any good old slave rum. Just as long it is no white rum, which to me kills the whole deal about rum , but then again that is my opinion about it.
not sad at all. I don't drink alcohol either for various reasons, including a bad stomach. That's what weed's for ;-)
Hoegaarden (any of them) Eliske Blond (a delightful beer I discovered here http://www.deliriumcafe.be/ ) Virtually any weissbeer, especially hefeweizens. Top shelf wise the odd single malt. Isle whisky is rather fine too (most of it). My only knock em back top shelf drink though is a vodka martini. Not into wine really.
I like me some Becks or Newcastle Brown Ale. The bar I go to (well, restaurant...) has huge mugs of Shiner Bock for hella cheap, so I get one of those and then something random from their list that I haven't tasted before. Or cheapass vodka and water works fine, too. As long as it's cold. Then again even not.
As far as beer goes, I have to defend Beck's for being the greatest of em all Asahi Super Dry is nice too, Guinness something very special and anytime someone proposes to drink Hefeweizen I'm in. @alecjahn People say you are gonna feel the reason to buy quality vodka the day after. I, however, don't really, lol... we often just buy cheap vodka from Poland and I always wake up nice and fresh after emptying half a bottle the night before. Maybe I didn't drink enough ^^
Haven't tried Gin but Tequila, Captain morgan private stock, Framboise and Guinness are great. Especially guinness when it's from the tap. I'll never let vodka trick me again. Anybody know what shaking a bottle of what say Bailey's irish creme does? I just walked home from the liquor store and then sadly to work with it.
