People all furious over Nintendo stuff is always so amazing and yet so puzzling to me. I always wonder where the hate comes from. Is it some sort of "threat" that Nintendo does something different? Afraid the others will actively follow? (Wii -> Move/Kinect -> Wii U -> CrossPlay/SmartGlass?) Afraid the Nintendo versions of multiplatform titles may end up having exclusive content or functionality that's genuinly good? I just don't get the "reason" for all the hate.

Sometimes, it feels like it's just some weird macho image being challenged or something. Some sort of inner conflict surfacing the moment you realize you want to buy the same thing as a 9 year old -- as opposed to the new version of CoD that the much older 12 year olds wants to buy.

 

Some apparently hate Nintendo because they had a different system as a kid. Most BS reason ever.

How is CrossPlay "following" Nintendo when the PS3 had remote play long before the Wii U?

 

You could argue that GBA link up was "remote play" before that again and so forth, but the reason I specifically mention CrossPlay is because it's Sony's new umbrella for anything involving the Vita + PS3/PS4, be it remote play, cross platform multiplayer, utilizing the Vita as a controller (touch screen et al), etc.. A feature that's still very much shoe-horned in on the PS3 at the moment, so they can put it on the box (slightly less on the PS4, assuming the DVR functionality of the system enables for actual "live" streaming of gameplay to it on the same level as the Wii U Gamepad does - or that more games will get proper Vita versions like PlayStation All-Stars did or that "controller apps" like Little Big Planet 2's)

Call it natural evolution of Remote Play if you want too, but after what a fiasko Remote Play was in terms of execution and implementation, it's safe to say that Nintendo's the one that's given it a second life in the form of CrossPlay (and also MS focusing so heavily on SmartGlass all of a sudden - another sidenote of a function that isn't exactly much to write home about in its current state)

Without seeing more than a few random segments of the video;
He's 10(?), got a WiiU, really enjoys it, and finds himself somewhat annoyed by how people have an incredible need to tell him how he's apparently spent his money on the wrong horse, despite him having an awful lot of fun with the WiiU and really looking forward to some of the upcoming releases for it? Combine that with Vegas and a Webcam, I suppose
