http://www.google.com/chrome/?hl=en I'm using it for about an hour and I love it. Will be way better than firefox once finished (It's allready better IMO). Can't wait for the Linux version... The little comic book explaining it all is very interesting also: http://www.google.com/googlebooks/chrome/
Just tried it out, bah it doesn't impress me. Don't like having the favorites on the right like that.
I'm giving it a try and till now it's cool. I like it's simplicity, but one of the things i didn't liked was not having a status bar. Anyway, a nice way to start. Fast, stable and simple.
I'm also using this. A very nice piece of software, and if you read the (somewhat long winded) explanation of how it works and why it works, it really does seem like a generous gift to the online community. All open source. Amazing.
The point is to use the omnibar to acess everything, url, search, history, favorite. Also the new tab page store most used website for quick acces.
I've been using it for a while now, and it seems like it will be great, when completed. Hopefully there will be a modded version that will allow Firefox extensions to work Also, the Resource Inspector is very more thorough than Firefox's and actually shows the code, and highlights which code affects what when you scroll over it. (Lol, you can even adjust the Quick Reply box to whatever size you wish..
Using it right now and i'm loving it. Very small, smoothe and waaay less recourse consuming then Opera that i was using before. I might just make this my default browser.
Been messing around with it for a while too. It seems fast enough, also from a developers point of view. Javascript is much faster... BUT! to me the Flash support seems really horrible. Youtube videos randomly freeze when scrolling down in the window, NicoNicoVideo is not even usable and freezes on about every third visit. I hope they get to resolve this quick.
I'm trying it since yesterday, it looks great, is way smoother and even faster than Firefox, but there's some stuff to be fixed. For example, I have no java support at all, you can't move through the page clicking the mouse wheel button (I'm really used to it) and I don't like at all the lack of menus and a status bar. BTW s1xty, Youtube works great for me
Chrome suck, it wouldn´t start up, and it wouldn´t uninstall. So I manually removed it. And it is the only program on my pc. That have had those kinds of problems.
People don't give a %$§& about data privacy - see 23andMe: http://blogs.zdnet.com/BTL/?p=5123 Or have look at the calender: http://www.google.com/intl/us/googlecalendar/tour.html No problem checking out, when your child leaves school
maybe the whole privacy thing is just my german kind of thinking...i read somewhere that an american is glad if he can sell his soul for 25c on the internet, so...
in such cases people ask: source? do you really think they would make it so in a completely opensource web browser?
they're stating it in their terms of use...so yes! //Edit: and for now i only have german sources reporting about it //Edit2: Ah, there we have one: http://dailydd.wordpress.com/2008/09/03/chrome-sends-your-browsing-behaviour-to-google/
