in any case since it's open source in a couple of day a new modded version might be released that addresses the problem, right?

I can agree that the browser was fast and feelt fresh and all that.
    - But I missed all my FF plugins.
    - The EULA was f-ed up.
    - It installed without notifying me googleupdate.exe that registered it self to run at startup and added it self to the scheduler and was a real pain to remove as it wasn't uninstalled when I uninstalled chrome.

I will consider using chrome again if they:
    - Add supports for plugins
    - Fix the EULA
    - Make googleupdate installation optional

Oh yeah, I had forgot about that vulnerability, another reason to uninstall it.

Just got a link from a friend saying that they've modified the EULA now.

Loving the browser! Not getting any of the problems other ppl are metioning here, re scrolling, javascript, flash, youtube etc :) Dead impressed.

The EULA is a moot point anyway, the source code is released under BSD license. Download source, recompile without the agreement, end of story.

    Whats missing? Adblock+

    A few I'm missing:
    - NoScript
    - Foxmark
    - ScrapBook
    - DownThemAll!
    - ShowIP
    and a few more.

Apparently, Chrome is not compatible with Firefox extensions, and so they would have to be completely rewritten to work with Chrome. :(

Fuck Chrome, I will stick to Firefox. Since I have never ever had any kind of startup problems, or uninstall problems with that. So Google Chrome, you are not Krom from Conan. But probably some shit from somewhere else.

Funny how people are bashing Chrome. It come with lot of great idea and is open source so other browser user could eventualy benefit. Give it some time it's just a beta released 2 day ago....

IIRC when Firefox was still called phoenix/firebird it wasn't that great, I personally started to use it daily when Mozilla released version 0.8. So it take a lot of month to Mozilla to build something somewhat bulletproof...

I think that for a first version, what Google gave us is simply awesome. I can't wait to see the next build of the thing. Hope to set it as my default browser soon ;)

i agree. it's just that people want to bash a new microsoft...

by the way firefox 3 does the same as chrome do when you use the wonderbar or whatever it is called...

edited: and i'll keep pushing on the point that it's already great and it's OPEN SOURCE! any problem can be addressed!

Karsten, I had no idea untill yesterday, that I had a virus on my pc. So I had to reinstall Windows and all what matters. And maybe that is why Chrome didn´t want to startup. But thank goodness, that I am now virus free again and my virus protection is up and running 24/7

good to hear wolvie. i'm using chrome all days since it came out on a pc at work (at home i still have ff and opera, but i might switch soon when they fix a couple of issues in chrome) , and so far no crashes, or problems.

it just seems to have some problems with webpaged with embedded youtube-like videos....

but being an early beta i can see them fixing it fast.

It's like a slower crashier version of Opera. Oh, did I mention I always have more than 50 tabs open? 50x new browser process => bad.
