Those aren't really statistics, They are opinions and for the most part I think they are wrong. Let's go down the list...

Arrogant: Can't really argue with this though I don't think it is to the degree in which you perceive.

Bigoted: We have our problems but I don't believe it to be nearly as bad as it is made out to be. Off the top of my head I can name a dozen countries that have different groups that hate each other and many have destroyed their countries in the process. This country has by far more ethnic group, minorities, ect and by all rights should have torn itself to shreds long ago. Yet somehow for the most part we work together and persevere.

Xenophobic: Considering all the different groups we have and continue to welcome to this country I guess your definition of xenophobia and mine differ.

I've always found the UK to be more xenophobic really. Their are more far right groups (EDL, BNP, NF etc) and they hold protests/rallys reguarly.

Joking aside, Doesnt matter what race colour you are there is crime everywhere.

 

I've been told Isreal is pretty safe...when people aren't blowing themselves up for "freedom" there are quite a few countries with low crime in places you wouldn't expect

I've lived in neighborhoods/dorms/apartments with neighbors of tons of different races and ethnicities. I've never been robbed.

It may be true that there's an indirect statistical relationship between being of a race other than white and crime, but the way he put it made it seem like there was a causal relationship - i.e. being a minority causes you to be a criminal. Or to put it another way, it's similar to saying that all (or most) people of races other than white are criminals. What I'm saying is, there are plenty of African Americans and Hispanics and Asians, etc. who are not criminals. It's not fair to lump them together.

 

Ethnicity isn't the major factor to crime in bad neighborhoods, Economics and more importantly education are. The neighborhood culture also plays a major role although to be fair ethnic culture can play a part to an extant as well.

For example if you were to give a million dollars each to a White, Black, and Hispanic person all from the ghetto chances are in time they will all be back in the same situation. Lottery winners are a good example of this.

Now if you were to take those same three people educate them first and then give the money they have a much greater chance of moving on and prospering. Even then though that still might not be enough. There also has to be a willingness to change and abandon the bad traits of their old neighborhood culture as well.
