if you press the "select" button during 2-3 seconds on GP32 BLU (Back Light Unit; there are 3 GPs, "original GP32", "GP32 FLU" or "Front Light Unit" and "GP32 BLU") you´ll turn off the "illuminated" screen.

XGP has a 3D accelerator, but you can use it only for "comercial games" (and they could be in Korean, like a lot of comercial games from GP32) and a few homebrew games.

XGP has a 16:10 screen, (I think) only good for widescreen videos.

GPX2 has a 2D accelerator, a good choice for homebrew, but bad for 3D games.

thx for the for the explainations. :)

i'm way more attracted by the gpx2, but i'd like to see usb host, online, a better batery life and a dedicated backlight button, No matter how higher the price will get, that would be so sweet. As for 3d, i just hope that somehow the gpx2 will have good ports of Quake 1 and 2, pleeeease! :p

GamePark Holdings will relase next year a new version with new features.

GP32 has a port of Quake 1 (now version 0.6).

that sucks, i don't want to wait a year to get a better version. On the other hand, if i wait for that next version, when i'll get it, the homebrew community will be big, the reviews and user comments will be all over the place, and you'll have more choice for commercial games. well, nothing's perfect i guess. :/

but i just don't understand why they couldn't release two versions of the console at the same time, you know? the standard one and the enhanced one, wich would be more expensive of course.
