Awesome! Thanks for the update. Do you have a general idea of total turn-around time from now to fill orders? I understand the process, just curious about your thoughts as things stand today. Thanks again!

Hi, I am also curious. I'm in the UK so wondering roughly when to expect the scart switch. Of course I understand these things take time; don't want to come off sounding demanding :)

I believe it'll be about 4 more weeks until they ship. The initial estimate was 5 weeks and I think that was two weeks ago, and I'm going to guess that due to the effort involved it may slip a bit, which is fine by me. That's a lot of work.

Then you can probably add a week or two for shipping and customs. I'm expecting my switches in about 7-8 weeks (I live in Sweden). As eager as I am to get my hands the holy grail of scart switches, it's worth the wait! :)

Yeah, I'm in the States so I have no idea how long it takes to get through customs and all that. I rarely order anything from overseas. The last thing, ironically, was a SCART switch, but that was from Amazon so I had it within days.

Does anyone know if there is a specific type of VGA to VGA cable needed to connect the gscart to an OSSC? (gscart VGA out > OSSC VGA in), or would a generic off the shelf VGA cable do the trick.

I saw there was a recommended monoprice VGA to BNC cable for PVM's. I'd be interested to know if anyone sourced a suitable VGA to EuroScart cable also.

Any VGA cable will work fine.

Almost all the ones I've ever seen are wired wrong. Best bet is to buy a VGA cable, cut it in half and make your own.

Just pre-ordered a JP-21 model. Can't wait to get my SNES and SFC connected via RGB. Now I'm going to have to RGB mod the N64... LOL.

Are you close to having enough pre-orders to begin manufacturing the JP21 version?

    Edit:
I read back and looks like the cutoff was Sunday. Bad timing for me to discover this device... Will there be another batch in the future?

    Original:
I'm getting a sold out notification on the euroscart version but it says they're available on the webpage. Guess I just missed the boat, huh?

Will this have issues with pushing forward a Dreamcast VGA signal over SCART from a converter? I know 480p is not standard over SCART but the Framemeister works with it.

It's difficult to say really, I did all I could on my side. My manufacturer has ordered everything and it's going to take 2 weeks just to get the components there. Meanwhile they manufacture the boards and are waiting for the components to arrive to start the assembly. Issues can always arise so we'll see.

Once I get the stuff here it'll take around 1-2 weeks to case/test/ship everything.

Whenever $9999 is set as shipping price I officially don't support posting to that country. My main concern (except a few countries where I'll never ship) is my risk protection. So far I see issues with shipping to Mexico and Columbia thus I have to charge more for these countries to make sure that package isn't lost. I've sent you a PM and waiting for the reply. Hong Kong can be enabled it's just I don't know which shipping service it's better to use.

I was absent for a few days. SCART pre-orders are done. I've ordered more units than pre-orders so I hope you'll be able to buy yours once I'll finish the pre-orders. Have to update that web-page. And subscribe to this thread (email notification) because people are always missing their switches.

This works. But you'll have to find a way to enable 480p on your Dreamcast by other means. Switch will forward 480p signal just fine.

22 units have been ordered so far. It's a bummer because that's not even close to what's needed for the automatic assembly. Where are all the Japanese users? :)
So far it looks like a waste of my time. I have to gather at least 50 to get automatic assembly and some profit out of it. On the other hand I can't order 28 more units using my funds because I risk not selling them at all. I think I'll do this remaining JP21 batch and JP21 version is spoken for, just doesn't worth the trouble.

Haha, looks like I backed the wrong standards horse! It's sad because I know I'm not alone in being a JP21 purist and having all JP21 cables (including a male-to-male now in anticipation).

If you don't get enough orders to make it worth your time (which I hope changes for sure), would it be more worth it for you to convert these orders to SCART and lump them in with the next preorder batch? I know I'd rather this project be successful (and profitable for you!) than stick to my JP21 guns... but the other 21 on the list might not be so willing to change.
