I also created this account to express interest in a JP-21 switch.

I bought an xrgb-mini recently and went to the JP21 route with my wires rather than buying euro converter for the unit. So yea I am definitely interested in the JP21 version of this selector. PM sent.

I would like to get one and test this out! Looks really fancy! It does need stereo out though.

    Some update:
Last week I've finally sold last switch from current batch.
Pre-order system is a disaster because a lot of people refuse to buy and I waste my time.
One more time: I don't take any preorders anymore, ANY, this includes SCART and JP21 switches.
I'll finish current waiting list and I'll come up with a different ordering scheme.
So far I'm debugging two found issues:
    1. Slightly bent picture on SNES when LM1881 is active (actually I see -1 pixel offset on my equipment here);
    2. Some interference when 2+ specific consoles are turned on.
Both of these issues are very minor because SNES can be used with LM1881 turned off (given that you're using proper cables) and simultaneous power up of 2+ consoles kinda defeats automatic switching.
Still I want to understand what's happening before next batch.

Thank you for the update. Sorry to hear the pre-order system isn't working out. I'm just glad I got on the list for the next batch (that you'll hopefully do).

Nice to hear that you are still producing these boxes. A shame about the phone dropping out from their orders though. Be sure I'll be buying my JP21 when it's ready :)

Great news, thanks for the update!
All my SNES cables get sync off of composite video, not raw csync, and I'd rather not replace them all - I really appreciate the extra effort to debug the board.
Will continue to watch the thread. Good luck! :)

Thanks for the update! Hope these bugs can get ironed out. I don't mind the wait!

Awesome news. Like Yakumo, I'll continue to wait patiently for the jp21 version. Thanks again for developing it!

Would it help if you presold the switch? I'd have no problem paying now so you're guaranteed to move stock as soon as it's ready. Not sure if others feel the same way though.

I would also have no problem paying in full before production if it helps. I would be interested in a SCART switch.

Thanks guys but pre-order obliges me and I don't like that feeling.
Apart from it will not make development faster.

Wow! I don't understand why so many back out. The item is one of a kind, a great price, fits a HUGE need and looks super sexy. I travel a lot and don't always have immediate access to the site so I'm always worried I'll get the "it's ready" PM and miss out on the window of opportunity to purchase. Those that got on the waiting list early, had the opportunity to purchase and backed out... baffling. Keep up the great work. We all appreciate your effort!!!

I would have thought at least putting a deposit (if not the full amount) down would kerb people backing out (for reasons lost on me) but yeah... I get what you mean by that feeling of obligation.

Anyways I've registered to express my interest in the JP21 varient should it come to fruitition and will patiently monitor your threads for whatever ordering scheme you decide on.

Thanks for your efforts either which way.

Any estimate on when a new batch would be ready? Currently running with a turrible splitter I got off ebay. Yeah you know the one....silver plastic, horrible quality. I'm super interested in getting one when the next batch is ready. Will definitely be worth the wait.

    Thanks

I would be happy with paying a deposit or the full amount as well. This is a great project and I am dying to get my hands on the standard SCART-RGB version and am willing to wait as long as it takes.
I hope it's sooner rather than later though :)
At least if you ask for a deposit from people interested you will still have something if they back out.
I do understand not wanting the obligation with pre-orders as I'm sure superg has his life to live without worrying about filling peoples orders.

If so many people are backing out of preorders, why not use that old crime movie trope of half now, half later? They need to put down half the amount to preorder, but if they back out, they don't get it back.

Just curious, how does this switcher handle multiple signals? For example, if I've left one console running (say I'm in the middle of playing a game that can't b saved) and I turn on a second console, how does the switcher know what to change to?

Your account has the option to receive an e-mail when you receive a PM switched on - as long as you have e-mail on your phone, or check it daily, you're fine.
