Quick question for those who already have their switch and have a Saturn connected to the XRGB Mini. Do you guys have jailbars? With my current setup (Model 2 US Saturn > JP21 sync on luma > Selecty21 > XRGB Mini (firmware v2.03)), I have noticeable jailbars with the hi-res (480i) Sega fighters. It's hit or miss with the 240p Capcom 2D fighters. This seems to be a common issue with the users over at shmups as well. Their only fix was to roll back to an old firmware. It didn't matter what model of Saturn or if they used a CSync cable.

Any idea why my model 1 Jap Saturn with Cysnc scart cable produces a garbled image on the framemeister with the sync stripper switched off? None of my other consoles do this; they all work fine with the sync stripper off (I like to keep it off because of the horizontal shift in there image it seems to introduce).

Incidentally this doesn't affect my PVM at all.

One thing I can say for sure is that Selecty is fully mechanical switch which interconnects your input directly so switch is not a problem here.
    Probably Framemeister issue.

Finally got it after bouncing back and forth multiple transfer airports in Turkey, also the mailman had a nice bill from the customs import charges of €40 :(

Will install it over the weekend and I'm sure it will be worth every penny ;)

Yeah it sucks when you get extortionate import charges. I was sweating buckets, thinking I was going to get stung again (I ALWAYS get stung when buying stuff from the US) but to my delight, I had no charges to pay when it arrived. I was super chuffed.

    Hey Superg,

I got my switch today and it looks amazing and works great with my framemeister over the scart output but I can't seem to get my PVM to work over the D-Sub output. The monitor is a JVC BM-1900SU, all my consoles (NES, SNES, N64, Genesis model 2) are using C Sync and I am using this D-sub to RGB cable

    https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B001UJMGZC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I am leaving the fifth bnc cable floating. I am not sure which BNC (grey or black) should actually be carrying c sync but I have tried both. Is this a cable issue? The monitor says also says "no sync".

Try to toggle second ON/OFF switch.

    EDIT:
I've just checked my black cable, you use grey lead as sync and ON-OFF switch should be in position "CV". I think when we say PVM most of us mean Sony. Are you sure your monitor is functional?

I was sure I had tried that before with both bnc cables to no avail but I tried it again and now it is working!... I can't explain it, I must have screwed up and missed the right combination of bnc out and switch position when I was messing with it. Thanks a lot, and sorry about the false alarm!

And to anyone who was wondering, I am in Ontario Canada and I had to pay 26 bucks in customs fees.

Has anyone managed to find a suitable D-Sub > EuroSCART cable that works just as well as that monoprice BNC one? It'd probably be more common in Europe as we had consumer CRT's with RGB SCART input?

Somebody from the UK has just asked for a partial refund because of customs charges :)
Complained that this is a "shock" to him as it wasn't mentioned everywhere.
Some people just keep surprising me.

They're purchasing a product from the US, and importing it into the UK. What did they expect was going to happen....it's luck of the draw really if you can get away with customs import fees.

Bummer man, some people just like to place blame on everyone else rather than take responsibility.

On a side note, all my SCART cables are in :) just waiting for that sexy Gscart to come back around. Can't wait :)

Hey superg, the SCART switch came in and it's a work of art! It works great and the auto-switching is a luxury I'm so thankful you included in the switch. Thanks again :)

it honestly suprises me that there are people out there that have the intelligence to seek out products like gscart, yet are unaware of how customs fees work? How can you be "into" importing custom devices like this, yet be dumb enough to try and pin the blame on the seller because you got stung by customs? It honestly astounds me how forward/cheeky some people can be...

Received today in France. No customs charges (so I don't have to ask for partial refund :D).
No tested yet, but it looks like a true piece of art!

I received mine and it's pretty nice.
For some reason PC engine is super super dark to the point of being invisible without contrast on max. Via my old Scart switch PC engine was typically the brightest of all my machines so I am not sure what's going on
