It's very likely that RGB level isn't up to the specs.

How do you mean? It's typically the brightest of all my systems and I had to put resistors on the Rgb lines to bring it back in line with the rest. As it was causing too much bloom on my bvm

Hooked up my switch over the weekend and it's works perfect, looks perfect, it's just perfect ;)

But I noticed a movement of the image to the left with csync cleaner ON, you explained this was normal due to the small delay so I'm totally fine with it, could you also explain why it does the same when outputting via VGA?
Not complaining, just want to know the technical side of what it does and why the image shifts to the left via VGA as well, independent of how the switches for csync and h/v sync are setup.
It is most noticeable with a Dreamcast connected via a Toro box (480p over scart), there the image shift a similar amount as when scart output with csync is used.

VGA requires clean sync pulses, that's why sync goes through stripping circuit no matter the setting thus it's always shifted on VGA.
What do you use as your output device? It usually is taken care of by TV/XRGB.

So one question about the Sync Stripper.

If i am using all RGB cables with CSYNC and LUMA. Would i turn the Sync Stripper OFF? Are there benefits to keeping it on when using the cables i meantioned? The delay and shifted image i would prefer not to have so if it can be turned off without any consequences would be ideal.

Just trying to get any questions answered now so when i get this sexy piece of equipment i can just plug it all in and know what i am doing.

    Thanks again

Yeah, if you don't experience any problems you can leave it off.

    Thanks, makes sense :)

The switch is connected directly to my display (Pioneer PDP-V402), no framemeister nothing. Luckily I can easily adjust the horizontal position of the image so no issue.

Will get my NEC XM29 out of storage soon and will hook it up as well to see how it does.

    JP21 units are here.
I've managed to test them all and found no problem. They are currently being assembled and I plan to ship every unit this week.

Wow. I am so excited and can hardly wait. It would amazing if I received mine before next Monday (29 Aug). It'd be one heck of a birthday present to myself. LOL.

Just got my gscartsw in the mail over the weekend and love the build quality. It'll be a while before I assemble all the proper cables to incorporate it into my setup though. BTW, what was the rationale behind putting in a female SCART connector for the output? My SCART cable that goes to my XRGB Mini is also female, as well at the one that goes to my PVM.. gotta get a gender changer for it.

It's quite normal for all connectors on devices to be female.
A standard scart cable usually is male-male ;)

I owned an XM29 as well. It's an AMAZING retro gaming monitor, however it has some strange issues with sync. You'll want to leave the sync stripper on when using this monitor to avoid any problems.

Thanks for the heads-up, I already have a scart to BNC cable with built in sync stripper, but with this switch that would be redundant and connect it directly via VGA :)

I just hooked up my switch, I received it last week but I didn't have the time.
Looks great, works great and it feels very well built. Very very pleased!
Thank you for your hard work and for keeping us in the loop, I really appreciate that. Keep up the good work!
