You'd think wouldn't you.. however every auto switch I have tried has failed in one way or another. My Genesis for instance causes my Keene SCART commander to go crazy when it is in auto-switch mode, I have to go onto manual override.

The other problem is leakiness, a lot of the switches I've tried leak current across the connected devices. So much so that once my SNES powered on just from the current leaking from another console!

Do you ship to the UK?

I wouldn't even call such devices a switch. These things are so cheap that they aren't using even diodes there, just parallel interconnection of all 21 SCART lines.

Yes, I will ship to any country except Russia.

There is no built in RGB on 3DO systems. On my BT9101 I don't think HS/VS are readily available (but they are available on the earlier model) so the guide I was using suggests using composite video and the LM1881: http://www.otakus-store.net/en/content/24-3do-rgb-kit

HS/VS need to be routed to the board because it has a potentiometer that adjusts the positioning of the picture. I did test it without the LM1881 (simply wired composite video directly to the DIN 8 connector) and the picture looked good but was slightly off center.

With the capacitor addition and 9v lead, all my issues have been sorted. Really loving the switch, thanks superg!

Yeah, all issues were sorted out.

Currently 2 switches are reserved for STARBAR, but unfortunately nobody else is interested :(.
A lot of people contacted me during development but when it came to actual buying (god, even for the components price!) - no interest at all.
So I don't think I will even return spent money with it.

I'll be posting to the shmups xrgb mini thread with a picture and description of the switch in my setup. That may generate some interest for you. Another good place might be AtariAge forums.

I may also want to order two more switches (an additional one for me and one for a friend).

Ahh yes i forgot about these, but recently i have had pretty much everything stolen from my parents car about 2 weeks ago, wallet, phone and laptop. and it'll take months for me to save up again. Really bummed out about this :( But as aires said above if he looking for 2 more switches if you want your more than welcome to allow aires to have the ones i was going to buy, if he doesn't feel welcome to offer mine to anyone else if i don't manage to get the money before they can. sorry.

I hadn't checked this thread in a while and missed that you were done with the testing and now they are working 100%. i would buy one off of you if they are still going to be around $85. Perhaps you would get more interest if you posted about it in the marketplace.

Not true, I’d take one for $85! Can’t really spend more right now, but 85$ is insta-buy!

/Ed. A quick question that came to my mind right now: I’m using euroSCART and an euroSCART to MiniDin-Adapter to connect my consoles to the XRGB. Would that be a problem with the switch? Do I have to go JP21?

I'm certain you'll find buyers at shmups and in the RGB and Retrogaf threads at Neogaf. If I didn't already have an Extron RGB matrix I'd get one.

If anybody wants to get one - send me a PM. But contact me only when you're 100% confident.
I've spend too much time explaining this and that in PM, packing weighting etc. and afterwards a lot of people were posting random reasons why they cannot buy it anymore, I am tired of this.
I wanted to post topic in marketplace after I will sell 5 switches to different people for promotional price. Also I plan to create some FAQ regarding available SCART cables power and misc. problems I've encountered with my own cables, maybe I will do it on the weekend.

    Thanks all for contacting me.
Currently I got orders for 4 remaining switches ($85), so I am going to ship them and will wait for more feedback.
Afterwards I will create some sort of RGB SCART FAQ and misc switch-related stuff, thread in marketplace and some final pricing.

Somebody from the shmups Framemeister thread sent me here.

I'm very interested in owning this. When you finally have things finalized, I'd love to own it as I've been searching for scart switches for quite a few days and this looks great!

Just got my "Badass Black" switch in the mail. Have only tested the Dreamcast (connected with Hanzo and Kenzei) and Saturn as those are the only 2 I have out right now. Both work ok. The Dreamcast gets a little bit of jumpyness in the picture with the sync stripper off, but works ok with it on. Adjustment of the sync level on the xrgb-mini did not get rid of the jumpyness.

One suggestion is to maybe put some marking on the top of the board for the positions of the ON/OFF switch. You can figure it out by looking at the traces on the bottom of the board, but would be nice to be able to see it easily on the top.

Will test out my other consoles later. Thanks again for the switch superg!

    Edit:
Realized I had tried the Saturn before plugging in the switch's power cable. It worked great without the external power, but with it plugged in, I had to adjust the sync level from 9 to 10 to get rid of the screen jumpyness with the sync stripper powered. still is jumpy with the sync stripper off though and powered externally at sync level 10.

    Edit again:
Saturn and dreamcast jumpyness issues were caused by the cheap chinese power supply I was using to power the switch. An original Genesis 1 power supply causes no jumpyness of the picture.

    Good point.
NTSC Saturn has different pinout of 10-pin MiniDIN. If you will use PAL SCART cable for NTSC console you will have "SYNC" signal on SCART pin 16 instead of stable voltage. Due to this you may get unstable signal. You need to make sure that saturn pin 16 scart provides stable voltage +5V.
(I've read somewhere that you can mod function of that MiniDIN pin in Saturn output circuit although I didn't try that)
