I am absolutely not into new games, I hardly know a single one of the upcoming blockbuster titles (i.e. I didn't know Rage before it got released), but GTA V is making me nervous. It's so hard to wait for the trailer, I'm feeling a kind of anticipation for a game like I haven't felt it in a looong time. I feel a disturbance in the force.
just saw on product review that the trailer is going some trees on the GTAV logo which look very Vice City, and if your in the uk you can see the trailer at 5pm dam my work blocking gaming sites
Grand Theft Auto V Trailer Out Hi guys, the trailer is now out and this game looks stunning, check it out at: http://www.rockstargames.com/
Cheers for the heads up Mystical, but the link isn't worthy of a new thread with the current GTA V thread still being high up the first page (plus people talking about the trailer here too). Having watched the video the textures and models look good... but the jaggies are back WTB Anti-Aliasing!
Fair point, was thinking people might post about stuff specific to the trailer (easter eggs they spotted etc) where as this thread would continue for the main game but do see your point the textures, models etc. look fantastic and i agree about the jaggies but they still have time to iron out some of these issues upto the point of release (and sadly in the case of most games these days, after through patching) im extremely excited about this now i have seen the trailer tho
I think it looks a whole lot better than IV, It wouldn't surprise me if the frame rate is totally atrocious when in game though.
It looks really, really good. I can feel the anticipation running through my veins. The graphics might be the same as in GTA IV (or at least come close to it), but I don't mind that as long as I can climb a mountain and fly an airplane over the rural landscape. The only bummer is that it's LA... uck. I've been doing shit in LA in how many games now? True Crime, GTA SA, Driver and there must have been a couple more. I wonder what's the area they are gonna cover. A mountain doesn't exactly look like LA's suburbs. Oh, and I pray for San Fernando valley side-missions LOL.
I loved flying through San Andreas in the harrier-like jet, and believe it or not it was a billion times more fun than any flight sim game out there. Yet I think it would've been better if GTAV was in a new location, rather than going back to SA like GTAIV did with LC
Hmm I found a solution to my GTA IV jaggie problem which will work in GTA V - sitting more than a foot or two away from the screen seems to do the trick lol.
There are rumors going around that the GTA V map will be 2.5x bigger than Red Dead Redemption and the Xbox 360 and PC version will be on 2 disc's. This could be true as most of the map could be desert and woodland with small towns scatterd around, without to much content to load in these areas it is possible http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=136340&page=1
Crap, I dont even know how much space I've left to install this Guess I have like a year to fix that though
Sa was pretty limited by the PS2s hardware but damn! GTAV makes it look like a 32bit game!:-0 Anyway, I hope it comes out late next year, but something tells me we're looking at an alpha and the real thing may come out in 2013, at the end of this gen. Just like SA did
The problem with SA is the overall blockyness of the models, the blurry-ass textures and the pop-in due to the extremely short drawing distance, which ENB still has
true but San Andreas was a huge leap forward in pure scale for the GTA series, so many side missions etc. you could get lost in the game, one of my favourite games of all time to be honest and hoping GTA V will be the modern equivalent of SA.
Of course they will reuse their Rage engine tech, albeit heavily modified. Would make no sense for them to trash it and move on after a single GTA game (Not counting DLC)
