I initially picked up a Driving Force Pro but more recently changed it for a G25 - best decision i have ever made! worth every penny if you're into racing games!
G25 would be the best bet as they work well for sim racing and equally well for arcade racing. Never had any other wheels other than logitech and they are always excelent. Have tried a Thrustmaster wheel along with others but they didn't seem as good as any logitech.
Game came out in the US finally today, bought it Edit: And a video! http://superiorversion.com/?p=114
bump! Car Pack 1 released today so I downloaded it straight away! quite a challenge them new cars and some minor improvements to the games engine (no slowdowns), yet frustrating as ever if you miss an inch! Of course for those who have unlocked the Toy Dog livery things are a lot easier, but the new cars are fun! Wish they would release another course as well.
I highly doubt this will happen any time soon to be honest. I m not sure how GTi Club has sold so far, but I d be surprised if it's even close to 700.000 unique downloads. Also keep in mind that sumo digital are into this sort of thing for the cash - and it shows. Outrun Online for the PS3/360 is a very unpolished port of the previous Outrun 2 versions (down to goofy Outrun 2 SP logo being shown when you complete), but thankfully GTI Club+ has had some more attention to detail, although nothing to write home about. @Borman: I don't recall the second track of the Arcade version to be honest, but this version offers 3 variations on the same track, easy, medium and hard. My biggest gripe is,as usual, with the DualShock controller, as my palms actually hurt right now after some 2 hours of playing around with the Car Pack. Funny thing about this title is that although it has VERY good support for wheels (Down to proper H-shift gears for my G25), it's not well suited for such an interface unless you can bolt it on a rock. All that sudden movement just makes a bodybuilder out of you after every session, although it's more fun and reminiscent of the arcade version.
It has two tracks, with variations still. Just played the arcade version a month or two ago (And this is the new arcade version, not the classic one).
I've been really enjoying this. I've just downloaded the car pack too, so I'm off on a trophy getting mission.
