Halo 2 Multiplayer Beta Disc + Paperwork

just give me a few month till i got my new flat...so i guess in march i could try it,not sure..life sucks at the moment

 

I just stumbled upon my disks hiding in the back of my desk..





I do have two different build disks, two sets of laminates, and one set of the beta/newsgroup papers.

Thought I lost them awhile ago, now they are just sitting around.

Yep thats what the text means. Has some other identifying stuff in there but nothing too crazy.

 

I haven't noticed any differences other than the text on the front. Even when the beta was live, I don't think there was much of a difference in the builds from what I remember.

I loaded them up on my original xbox that is sitting around here. I don't have a way to connect it to the internet right now, but I don't think I will progress much further through the menus regardless. Here are the screens I can access with the disks, they are the same on both disks.





If I have the means to hook up my xbox on the internet, I will see if I can get any further in the menus.. But I am almost positive it will deny you going any further since the servers are offline.

 

You wont be getting any further without hacked files.

 

if you connect the xbox to the internet,the game allowes you to see the main menu,character edit,game modes etc,so no need to use the hacked files..you just need the hacked one to play the game offline

 

You dont need to be connected to the internet to do that. You can just hit guest and some combination of hitting back.

sorry for the big bump... anyone has got the files where you can drive the mongoose and use the flamethrower ? not the ones where you need two controlers...
i would really apreciate if someone could upload them again as the link some post's back is broken...

 

At the moment we only have the force where you need 2 controllers. The Zanzibar map with that unlocked I can get you.
Do you need the full game or just the map with mongoose and flamethrower?

how can i launch the test map then ? i have the whole beta, i only need the zanzibar map.

 

Do you have a way to access game files? neighborhood xexmenu etc? If so just:
Drop that map into the maps folder. If you want to save the original Zanzibar rename the one you have in there now to something like Zanzibarold.map.
Then just drop the one I up'd for you into the maps folder and launch Zanzibar as usual.

 

Cool thank you very much man, but is there nothing i can do to launch the test map ? I though there was an special version of the xbe's to launch this map...

Not 100% sure what test map your referring to but you can always try renaming it to one of the 4 maps that show in the menu.
For example lockout was in the beta but does not show in the map selection so I would rename lockout.map to zanzibar.map.

 

dont remember,but does the mp beta discs got these betamaps like zanzibar too?
