lol, I always seem to be walking through one of the many hallways and next thing I know there's a plasma on my back. At least in Halo 1 you could have fun with the physics and Master Chief bodies that just stayed there.
Consoles online suffer from sugar kiddy syndrome. Too many young teens go online to cause trouble, instead of hanging around the strip mall causing trouble. When will parents take charge and bring this to an end?! This post is partly serious BTW.
speaking of FPS and co-op, just played Blacksite:Area 51 - I consider it a better game than any halo, sorry chaps - oh and the graphics rule too ^_^ When it comes to "serious" online FPS gaming , nothing beats Quake 3, although CS comes close.
I was just telling someone how boring I thought Blacksite was...maybe I should give it another try. Quake 3 and UT, Doom and Duke Nukem, etc, all beat Halo, but there PC games I guess.
Quake 3 on the DC was a good title, the online action was good too for the day. What I liked about Blacksite was the one-button squad tactics - I believe it has potential, although I ll have to get the whole game to make up my mind. The brief demo was 'macho-ish" but quite fun, and I also like the theme. What I mostly dislike about Halo, is Master Chief's attire - it looks like a metroid rip-off of sorts, but more generic. It also has alot of the Doom-guy/quake-guy elements in that suit.
Entirely possible. The MP mode in Rainbow Six: Vegas is a good example of that. They strip out graphical punch to enable more consistent gameplay.
It's so true. And Halo 2 is definitely one of the worst when it comes to annoying kids. I can only play it on Live for a short amount of time before it just isn't fun anymore. But games like GoW generally have a more mature audience. I usually try to stick to lan parties to get my Halo multiplayer fix. :icon_bigg
Me and some friend found out a solution for that problem. 1-pretend you're a women, and that you need sex right away (those little shits will pick that up no doubt). 2-Arrange a meeting in some alley. If he ask you why tell him you wanna go down right there. 3-Once the dipshit arrives you beat the shit out of the little fucker with a baseball bat (or a cricket one in your case). And this post is serious: online teenagers must be stop:rambo: The later metroid suits looks a lot more like the EVA-02 if you ask me... About the other, more like it rip offs the concept of the HEV in HL1, and some UT suits in design. Plus the whole thing looks like those suits from the guys at Robotech the third generation (minus the ciclone part, which is lame cuz that bike was kick ass cool).
ah well just be patiet guys; Quake 3 is comming to the Live Arcade. And from that moment the king of fps is back
Amen. but what about keyb+mouse support? Microsoft is really busting my balls with their lack of keyb+mouse support in FPS games
It's a PC game on a console, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect the original control method. Anyway, weren't there third-party adapters made? Some controversy about people using them for Halo?
There were, but last I heard the performance was less than stellar. Movement lag and dead spots were some of the complaints.
Amen. The only game that I know of that works well with a keyboard is FFXI and I believe it's only used for chat... But that's just a keyboard...
