I second that thought, the 3rd party cases I have seen in the crystal green finish are pretty good actually.

However, this is a departure as there would be a portion of buyers who'd complain that "Microsoft didn't change the 360 design from the original Xbox edition...bitch, moan, groan, gripe!"

Frankly, the new one is growing on me more than I thought - may reconsider the Elite for a Halo3, but not this month!

If it's one of the 360's like mine with BenQ and the new heatsink, they seem to be fine. I don't think I'll be getting a RROD for awhile.

    (watch it die now)

Yeah, die hard with a vengeance!

Really nice looking machine indeed. I didn't even know Halo 3 has been released already, I thought it was announced for something like 9/26?

I agree that the lack of 120GB HDD, Halo 3 :)lol: ) and no HDMI cable included make this a little bit crap. Especially since it doesn't have any improvements for red ring syndrome.

The case looks nice, but will they be making a matching 120GB HDD for it?

Bet anything there will be someone who mods a HDD to make it look like the Halo limited edition one.

I imagine this one has the tacked on heatsink like mine does. They at least help with it.

Are they retailing the Halo edition controllers seperately? I mean can you pick up a second matching one for your unit?

Just the ones with the splash graphics as far as I know, no olive drab ones.

I know it`s not a major problem but I like to have two controllers that match a system, just a little quirk I guess.

Damn, all this stuff only makes me want even more a 360, but with the ridiculous prices here (USD 700 for a used unit!!), I can only hope to go to USA next year and get one (buying them by eBay is really difficult here, they put you lots of taxes and stuff).
Anyway, even when the Halo3 edition is called like a "limited" one, there's a lot of these rounding eBay and other buy/sell sites at a reasonable price...

nope it's actually a controller and game holder dubbed the "missile case" it hold about 4 discs and 2 controllers (or 1 controller and 1 wired headset).

kind of a silly thing they're selling for 20 bucks.

and yes...it is currently used as a lunch box...2 cans of gamefuel and mah sammich!
