Halo 3 Xbox 360 edition NOT 56K friendly, hell not even dsl friendly...

I hate to say it, but at least in the pictures, I think that this is one of the ugliest special edition consoles I've ever seen...

I like military-looking stuff too, but IMO this console just looks awful, I think it might be because of the DVD door.

 

you could always replace the drive door and eject button...they're removable once you get the faceplate off.

I think they were going for MC's Visor but...like wanganrunner said, it looks off.

 

Did it come with the Halo 3 UI skin preinstalled?

I just want to see who's man/woman enough to endanger their child/cat by making them wear the helmet...me personally I'm trying to negotiate with my cousin to have her infant son wear the helmet.

 

I was fine with the small HDD because I will never pay money to download games or movies, and even with FFXI installed on it, the 20GB drive has plenty of room for a few trailers and demos.

The thing that really motivated me was the HDMI port - I've been wanting an excuse to upgrade and a special edition for a game I liked was a perfect one. I use an HDMI to DVI adapter because my TV is short on actual HDMI ports, and I already had a cable, so I figured it would work out fine.

Unfortunately M$ cheaped out in more ways than one and did not include the same "HDMI kit" that came with the Elite. Since I don't use HDMI for audio, I had to spend another $50 just to get the stupid dongle that comes with the official HDMI cable. /grumble....

 

I am still wondering wether to get the Halo one or the Elite?

120gb hd no biggy.....hdmi not to bad, but black ps3/black samsung lcd...would look nice all together

I know I was looking the other day (launch day) and in the UK....HMV were selling premium or elite with free halo 3

But the HALO console no deal...even though the premiumw as cheaper........odd...

But the following day the HALO console with an extra wireless controller and forza 2 for an extra £20

Been in discussion with HMV head office on this, but they won`t budge.........b:£"£%"d`s!!!!

No-one seems to have mentioned the nice cover that came with the helmet

A full size one would have been great, but the stickers covering it for retarded US kids saying "don`t wear" would have cost a fortune in legal fees!!

I use US kids as an example as there seems to be the land of stating the obvious for avoiding law suits...
