Yes I really do like that idea! Is there any way I could get a much bigger capacity memory card? So Id never be able to run out of memory and would never need to change the memory card? I only actually play about 10 different PS1 games....

I just looked on ebay and you can get a 32MB unofficial PS1 memory card. But I think I will get a 16MB one as that is still plenty of memory for me. I think I might smooth out the hole where the controller port 1 goes and have the 16GB memory card and receiver mounted internally, Then I'll keep controller port 2 for using a second controller for 2 player games.

    Great Idea JSE!

Sony only ever made 1GB memory cards, But you can buy third party unofficial memory cards with much bigger memory capacity on ebay.

Really nice mods loving the idea for wireless controller and the moving of the LEDs. Keep up the good work!

Sorry that I haven't updated in a long while. I need to get some money together for paint and some free time to finish it. Since I bought a car iv'e kind been working on that and spending all my money on it. It really would be a shame to not finish this project so hopefully soon I will get back into it and get it done.

Oh noooo! I don't know why the pictures have gone, I have emailed imageshack to see why they are gone. Hopefully I can get them recovered.

I hope this mod is finished some day. The controller mod was beautiful in itself, too good looking to be abandoned!

PS2 controllers work on PS1 easily and there are 3rd party controllers. I've found some decent but nothing as good as Sony controllers, which isn't wireless. It may be possible to hack and make PS3 controller work on older Playstations.

Plenty of cheap multi-memory cards but nothing worth the headaches. Some of them uses internal compression to squeeze a lot into small memory space and they can corrupt save files. I don't know of any that doesn't use compression, I just stick with Sony brand 1 meg memory cards. They turn up in Goodwill now and then and I have a dozen or so Sony branded memory cards.
