Recent bought a collection of prototypes from a storage locker buyer.
These discs are not as clear as the others.
Does anyone recognize any of these as belonging to a particular system?

Samurai Shodown and Fatal Fury Special are most likely for the Sega CD, Googling both game titles with "JVC" on the end comes up with Sega CD images. Way of the Warrior is probably for the 3DO.

I could, of course, be wrong and they could be unreleased ports to other systems however I doubt that.

Yep I would go with that!

The other game "way of the warrrior" is a 3DO game so I would say it's for that system, that or were they working on a Sega CD version?

Edit: on a second view FFS has Sega CD written on the inner plastic ring on the CD.

Sam Shodown was also on the 3DO so that's a possibility.

    Thank for the help.

Looking at it my old man glasses Fatal Fury does say Sega Cd on the inner ring. Looks like a silver so it should boot on a retail system.
I have a test 3DO unit somewhere. Finding that will be a chore. I haven't seen it in years. Strangest thing. It arrived in a retail 3DO system box that was glued together inside out.

Good luck finding the test 3DO! Would you mind posting some photos of the unit here when you manage to dig it out?

It would be the only 3DO game from this collection if it was.
I don't remember testing Sega CD prototypes in the past will they play on a retail system.

What about the one in the upper right of this picture. Sega CD as well?

Yes, that top right is a Mega CD-R (for Sega/Mega CD). The official ones are either blue or red. Always wanted one of those red Mega CD-R discs myself, I only have some blue ones, heh.

That Katana GDR on the bottom left is interesting, what does the label say? The photo isn't quite clear enough.

D.E. could stand for Dungeon Explorer.

Whether US or JP, the CD-R for the system were always Mega CD-R.

    D.E. could be Dungeon Explorer.

The Katana disc just has company info on the label.
    Jaleco USA, INC
    225 Larkin Drive - Unit 4
    Wheeling IL 60090

I popped the katana disc into my computer.
    Doubt this will help either.

    The disc is named "SAMPLE_GAME_TITLE"
Abstract folder says - Abstracted by none.
    Bibliography folder says - Jaleco[]
Copyrigh folder says - carrier :
    Jaleco ltd., 1999

Now I have to find my System 2 disc and my 3DO test unit !

Thanks. It was a fairly large collection that was traded into our store. We paid out more than we have ever paid out on a collection before. Many of the games that we are able to identify will go to the CCAG show this weekend but I'd really like to keep this one for myself.

Yeah it was certainly a fun collection. It was just purchased last night and I have yet to play around with them.
