Henners seeks advice

Not actually dying (not to my knowledge at least...) but I really need some advice so I'm posting on every forum I'm a member of.

So, I work at Starbucks. There's a girl I work with, named "girl 1". She developed a crush on me. I didn't even flirt with her or anything, I guess I'm just fucking awesome. Anyway, I don't like her like that. In the slightest. But I hang out with her because I'm nice, I fix her computer and teach her brother how to shred on Guitar Hero, etc etc...you know, normal nice guy shit.

so, she tries and tries to get over me. Again, I just act nice. I'm just a nice freaking guy. Here's where it gets weird. I like this girl, we'll call her "Henners best female friend". So, there is an opening at Starbucks.

My best female friend has no job. So I am attempting to get her a job there. This has upset Girl1. Here's some text messages (I won't correct spelling or punctuation)

"wow good job on 'best female friend'.i wont stay henry!"

followed by all this crap about losing hours when our labor just got doubled, so we can have floor coverage. Currently that labor is getting wasted because we are all maxed out at 5 days.

then I get "look. im sorry for being a bitch. and sorry i blew up on you. i know you are trying to help her out. im no mad. i just do not need to be put in that position. thats all."

Then I start to ignore her calls and text messages.

So she IMs me. I will painstakingly censor her screen name.

SO! That's one emotionally screwed up girl. Why did I have to be cursed with cuteness (I guess?)?

Anyway, so I'm throwing applications around right now at Toys R Us, I want to avoid Gamestop/EB... Hot Topic isn't hiring unfortunately so I am going to have to refrain from Pink hair dye (was about to redo it tommorow...back to black and blonde...)

Anyway, my question is.

What do I do?

Call things off on attempting to get Best Friend the job?

Quit?

Get new job?

Keep trying to get Best Friend the job?

Anyone wanna pay me about 9 dollars an hour to do nothing but stand around, smile, and make kooky stick figure drawings all over the place and reminisce about video games to people?

Girl1 is just jealous as hell of Girl2, but doesn't have the honesty to admit it.

The one thing you have to be a bit worried about is Girl1 making any job Girl2 got at your work just hellish. There's nothing worse than starting a new job and being the 'new fish' and if you walk into something you've not been aware of, or are made to feel unwelcome by Girl1 then frankly she is going to immediately assume there is some history there and might think 'I don't need this crap!' You couldn't really blame her for it either.

I'd speak with Girl2 and just explain the tension regarding Girl1. Just say that you are not interested in her, but she clearly is in you and has made things a bit awkward and to ignore anything as it will blow over. However, remember that 'best friends' don't often make great girlfriend material. The reasons you like them tend to get confused and in the end you have to be as honest with yourself as you are with them.

You wonder why Girl1 is interested in you, despite the fact you do 'nice guy shit' - Hmmm? I wonder where the crush developed from eh? <Rocket science it ain't>

 

Well its obvious that girl is overly(crazy)jealous.But don't quit your job over it,and yes hire that other girl if she really needs the job.I have delt with a woman far worse than the situation your in now.

 

I passed for a situation like that some time before. I would say you should hire your friend, but even if you don't your coming weeks are gonna be hard and uncomfortable.
Get ready for that, it'll be just a week or two (let's hope ) and then things will start returning back to normal... Or somebody will quit.

Hah, she sounds exactly like one of my friends. Basically, she wont change. Just have her deal with it, or she'll quit, not a huge deal either way.

 

Girl 2 is my best female friend BECAUSE we were BF/Gf. We dated, off and on. Too much distance to make anything out of it currently.

As for the crush, it seriously came out of no where. One day we're coworkers. then i get invited to her birthday party. No big deal. Then she wants my AIM account. Then she wants to hang out. etc etc...

1) if you are in the mood and she's nice s***w her. she's aking for it in all possible ways and she even made up films about you 2.

2)if you don't care at all about her, explain her that you friend was your ex girlfriend and that now she's like a sis to you, and that you doesn't want someone to treat her (your sys for sdaying so) badly. (this way she might act like friend with her to get up to you)

3)be cold and professional with her. I mean, polite and all, but no other relationship "because she behaved badly\like a bitch\selfishly". she'll cool down, or even worse get more in love with you. if it was to happen go back to 1) or to 4)

4)tell her you're GAY since you ex left you

5)show her your ass slapping avatar and she'll forget about you

6) get around with her female friends but not with her

on topic: you should never give up a job for something like that. that is where "just being a nice guy" ends. if you get a disadvantage from being nice that should be definately where it ends. girl1 will have to learn to deal with it. tell her that you have zero interest in dating her. also warn girl2 (best female friend) about whats going on, and yes get her the job.

 

The best part is, this is usually how you get girls to like you. Depending on their level of intelligence, the ruder you are the more they want your cock.

Handle it how you see fit. The girl is being immature and stupid. Tell her to go blow a sausage if she keeps it up.

I'm usually a "nice guy" as well (maybe not; I call someone out if they're being obnoxious or stupid), but there's only so much shit one can put up with.
