I wouldn't be able to tell you where the switches need to be because they just change which bios bank the chip boots to. Since you're getting a dash I wouldn't move them. For the resolution you will need a controller to change that.

It depends on which version motherboards are in both Xbox units. You might be able to, we'd have to see the motherboards in both.

Yes that's the problem I was speaking of. Its likely the solder pads at the bottom of that power supply are bad at where the pins connect and just needs to be reflowed. That may fix the power issue.. as for the aspect ratio you should with a controller be able to access a control panel of sorts in that custom dash to change its display settings from 4:3 to 16:9

I have an Xecuter 3 Front panel that looked exactly like that when I got it, with the same connection broken and the front cover missing. I managed re solder the broken conection but those points are pretty small. I also created a front cover from the official design and printed it out in paper, its nowhere near perfect but it looks a lot better than nothing. http://imgur.com/wT7ppum

A picture of the chip isn't necessary, we know what it is at this point. To fix the power issue you will need yo remove the power supply from the case and flip it over. Where the power port connection pins connect to the PCB you need to get you're soldering iron and reflow the contacts.

The switches on the inside are as follows, the wheel is a contrast control for the x3 LCD add on that was available when the chip was still made and the small switch puts the chip into its emergency backup bios bank so if you flash the chip badly you can recover it by flipping the switch and reflashing it.

Dwane - you won't really need the front switch panel unless you want to reflash or select different banks on the chip but if you are in the UK I can sell you a new one pretty cheaply.

Suggest you sort that power supply problem pronto though. Remember that even when a power supply is unplugged, it can have some pretty nasty voltages stored up in the capacitors so be careful or get someone else to do it if you are not sure.

    Nice find mate )

Here is a zip with some stuff for the executer 3 in it, its got a copy of the front cover in both an image format and a word document with 4 copies on it at pretty much the correct size (a small ammount of trimming if you want it to be perfect) I cut the cover out with a knife, the zip has also got a text file with some info on the switch and controller combinations.

And yeah, watch out for that power supply.
