I've finally been given the green light to hit the gym and get healthy again. Four years, two surgeries, 32 instances of the flu and bronchitis, an ulcer and three hospital stays later, I finally win. It's good to be back on top  And I only have 35 pounds to drop....OH: I start cardio tomorrow. ASSEMbler
Nice to know you re alright again Kevin, if you need any gym and diet tips, let me know - I ve been living in a gym for the past 4 years Keep in mind, to lose weight exercise/cardio alone won't cut it , you need an accurate and balanced diet , as I m certain your doctor might have told you! Avoid fried and fast-foods at all cost! Ice creams are no-no too! Welcome back!
barcode, I have been going to the gym the last 3-4 years or so but lost all interest in may or so.. Do you have any good advice that can motivate me to go back? cheers
i joined an indoor rock-climbing gym, its so much better than regular gyms.. its really videogame-like, the courses are all ranked so there's a constant push to gain lvls and experience, and they put new courses up every couple weeks. highly recommended!
So, we should expect muscle pulls, hernias and tendonitis in your future? Seriously, don't over do it. It is really easy to screw something up if you haven't been to the gym in a while and you get overly enthusiastic.
The easiest way to loose weight is to get your mp3, some hot clothes and walk. You'll easily get addicted and won't even notice how much you lost weight and gained health. The best thing is that its not intense and difficult at all, and you can even fix some places to go like a shop or something to get a more palpable, easier objective. Lost 30 lbs in approx. 2 months and a half (!!(not even joking)) this way without even noticing or willing, and this was in the christmas period.
Well, my motivation despite routine is similar to an RPG game It's like leveling-up stats, and in the end it looks good too. Besides, it gives a very large increase in the chance you ll get to meet ladies, without even opening your mouth Makes life easier and its an effort that pays off if done right. Everyone shows more respect for the six-pack than the beer belly  Hope it helps! PS: increase in muscle-force/power is also notable, when you can bend things most of your mates can't
What are your measurements if you dont' mind me asking? I've recently fallen off the gym a bit. I'm still going, but not slamming it as hard as I should. Oh, well. I'll live.
I've been gaining muscle after I started playing the drums, and that inspired me to do a little more working out. By "working out" I mean doing about 20-30 situps before bedtime. To be fair, though, I don't have any weight to lose (6'2 145lbs).
I was actually referring to Assembler. I'm trying to get a visual on his situation. I know what not working out for 2 weeks does to me, let alone 2 years. :/
Keep possession below 2 ounces, and in 1 single bag and you should be fine. Justice system LOVES to slap "intent to distribute" on anything.
