Beer contains alcohol (no shit?), alcohol causes dehydration and is as fattening as butter. Say no to alcohol ;)

Oh dear. Might be rather too late for me. On an almost serious note, whilst alcohol is certwainly not good for you (both calorie wise and liver wise) would drinking spirits be better calorie-wise? if so, thats good, as I've also had quite a bit of rum tonight too!

Then quit lifting weights and start running. If you want to keep your muscle strength up somewhat, I would suggest doing dips, pushups (w/ the ball is good) and everyone's favorite: pull ups. There's really only one way to take off weight: cardio. For me, running has always been the best way. Cycling, eliptical, and swimming don't hurt either.

I'm not in the best shape by a stretch, but I'm 6'3", eat tons of food, and have still managed to stay at about 185-190.

Oh, yeah -- whoever said to cut out the Cokes is 100% right. Those things are evil. Such an easy way to take on 150 calories or whatever, and get absolutely nothing. Shitloads of water is great. If you must have something sweet, go for diet (Diet Vanilla Pepsi actually tastes good).

congrats! I worked out in early summer like crazy, worked out for 80 minutes non-stop 60 nights in a row... then mid-july got super hot and I got lazy. But the last 2 nights I finally returned... and it feels great! Nothing like a productive workout to make you feel good about yourself.

EvilWays: BJJ´s weakness is they aren´t very fit fighting standing up. Meaning a Muay Thai fighter can with ease beat the crap out of the BJJ only fighter. That is why I said JKD, since that incorperates ground fighting/floor battle (BJJ etc. wrestling) Muay Thai, Wing Chun (not any brand, but the generic style ) fencing, boxing, pan crate (aka pan cration aka. Greco Roman wrestling) and alot of other styles. And well my instructor, also taught us some of the S.P.E.A.R. system, and alot of other stuff, I can´t remember, and kali is the weapon style we use. Instead of WT´s Escrima stuff....

Well I liked my JKD training alot.[SIZE=-1]
