I?m not joking, so keep this serious. it happened last saturnday at 21:13 (we checked the hour afterwards) in an industrial zone. Both me and my friend that was in the car with me saw it. it lasted for about 15-20 seconds, the car was still and our attention was drawn by a bright white-blueish sphere that was staying mid-air in the darkness. my figures was that it was around 200m afar and 15-30 meters high on the ground. i turned my face to the right to this "UFO" and stopped talking to my friend, he turned too and said "what the fuck?". The bluish thing stayed still for some seconds (we were searching for our cellphones in wonder) then suddenly dashed to the ground (at a lightning-like speed) stopped really low (i guess 0,5 meters) from it and FLASHED (this time insanely fast) in the sky. if my friend didn't saw it too i would have tought it to be an allucination what are your thoughts? anything like that ever happened to you? please keep the seriousness, and no i didn't see any alien, haven't experienced any superpowers and didn't get scared.. :/ i'm not trying to bullshit anyone. i tought seeeing an UFO would be scary, but more than scary it was amazing. karsten
Well I saw some stuff in my life time that fits the category of unidentified, offcouse most things can be easy explained and some may be natural wonders or just people playing a prank on everyone with some remote controlled whatever.. so I don't really spend too much time tripping about it.. as long as I dont see it up close and personal with lots of details ill keep my mind clear of any crazy stories. But who knows right?
Karsten: I haven´t seen a UFO yet. But I know they exist. My father saw one some years ago, when he was on vacation in USA. And no they weren´t near Groomlake. And I know we are not alone in the universe. So great, that you saw one And the UFO my father saw was one of the triangled ones. And I believe my father when he says that. But anyway UFOs exist. Whether they are secret airplanes from a military base, or from outer space. Then I know they exist.
what was impressive to me was that it was bright, but its light didn't seem to be directed in directions around for saying so. i've read about ball lightnings but this one for sure wasn't one... anyway, nice to hear that i'm not alone seeing one, here. also italy back in the days was invaded by UFOs... we're the only country in wich a soccer match was suspended because of an UFO sighting (there's official referee report) by the way, my first one if it'll happen again i'll be faster in understanding and taking a pic :/ i regret it a lot being so slow minded.
Man, that is fantastic that you got to see something like that. Even if it wasn't a UFO it sure isn't something you'll see again. The way that it moved was unlike anything you've seen before? how big was it? Did it have any sound? Yakumo
probing? IT's a widely known fact that the Martians only probe redneck folk (Larry the Cable Guy said it btw, not me )
perfectly silent (at least not noisy because i had the car's windows closedand couldn't hear anything). no it didn't move like anything i saw before. too fast, expecially when it went down and up again. when it went up it was insane, really. on the descending was fast but not crazy like when it went up and disappeared. concerning how big it was is difficult to tell... all the figures of distance, height and all are taken in the darkness... i think its diameter must have not been bigger than 40-50 cms, comparing from things more or less close to it.
Inbreeding would result in interesting genetics (as opposed to the rest of the population with "normal" genetics) so this would make sense.
the next generation of weather balloons! Jokes aside, yes, you saw a UFO. UFOs are ANY Unidentified Flying Objects. The question arises however, Unidentified by who? For the damn thing to fly, it must be indentified by someone, namely the handler of the device. UFOs are not a sign of extra terrestrial life/intelligence however. They're just unidentified
Barc0de: I am beginning to get sick and tired of your sarcasm(or irony since I don´t give a shit about it), so please stuff it for once. UFOs are real, whether you want to believe or not. And fuck the weather baloon shit.
if've seen one as well. 14 years ago it was. a small white powerful light flewing noiseless over the sunset sky in ca. 1~2km distance and about the same height. then after about 1 minute of continuous moving at slow speed, it turned in a 60° angle and accelerate to some kind of hyper speed, then disappeared on the horizont in less than 2 seconds. never could find an answer what that thing really was nor could someone tell me. but i've read some similar stories of that happening in the net afterwards. crazy!!
The only thing is he trying to say is UFO's as what it means has no direct link to alien life, it's just something in the air that cant be identified by the observer. He didn't deny that aliens don't exist so no worries. I personnally believe in life outside of earth, it would be almost stupid not to seeing the amount of space/stars and planets there are outthere, but aliens flying to earth and showing themselfs in a 'UFO' is were i have my doubts. If an alien lifeform has the technology to reach our planet and they choose to stay anonymous (as there have not been any official of known of contacts) because we as a whole are a primitive lifeform that would probably attack them anyway or mass histeria by religions that can't fit it in to their view.. having all this in mind and having technology to do inter stellar travel it just sounds silly to me they would land or fly around showing themselfs to individuals... As for all the footage out there of so called alien UFO, i guess 99,9% is fake and proven to be fake in one way or another, the last 0,1% are natural phenomenons that can't be explained and maaaaaaaybe there was a lost alien inthere that forgot to switch on the cloaking device
it would be something cool to see, but I don't immediately connect them to aliens either. Who knows, lots of these could just be some new plane/ship the US is cooking up. For all we know, aliens could be standing right next to us laughing while we think they fly around in saucers for everyone to see. But no, I've never had an ufo experience myself.
When you think about it, as a race we spend our time killing each other, invent the biggest weapon of mass-destruction that can eradicate 1 million people in a 1/4 of a second, drain all of our natural resources and pollute the planet to the max. I really can't blame them if they don't make contact, the first thing we would do is put them in laboratory, study them like animals, steal their technology, probably find their planet and make it Earth 2.0. I don't see why they would be interested in earth, since they can do interstellar travel then our technology is far behind theirs, the planet is doomed (or so the media says) when all they have to do is to wait for our extinction and come back to clean the mess and make it theirs. OK I am maybe watching too many sci-fi movies... Too bad Karsten couldn't take pictures, would have interested to see them.
it's my regret, really :/ i hope i'll have a second chance, really anyway it wasn't a spaceship for sure at least not in the way we think of them. maybe such things might be used as scouting items (from another country/army/planet/whatever). by the way, do you think that going to search for the place were it lowered down before flashing in the sky might be interesting? tough in the daylight my figures might prove wrong by a lot of meters... mmmh edited: by the way it was just one "thing"
It would be the first I would try to do, hoping to get some confirmation to backup the sighting.. something like a burned underground or whatever but as you describe it: small and far away its probably a mission impossible
As port pointed out I was being analytical of the term, not criticizing what Karsten saw. many people make a direct connection between UFO and Alien life, which is clearly erroneous. I do believe in alien life forms, but not in the Sci-fi manner. I don't always approve of other posts, but I keep my comments to myself, since everyone is entitled to their own opinion.no? =)
I don't think Barcode was disputing that certain flying objects are unidentified by the initial observer. What he was saying with no sarcasm or irony was that in the vast majority of instances UFO sightings are easily explained by experts (by which I mean those involved in what most people would consider more genuine scientific fields, military or weather experts) as either hoaxes or very much of this world. If there are instances where UFO's remain unidentified it neither confirms or denies either as what is not explained does not mean it is. The moment something were to be deemed nonterraqueous officially, I am certain we'd know all about it. Before you look it up, it was an 8-bit computer game back in the 1980's by Mastertronics. It means "Neither of earth nor water", however I am wondering whether they made the rather cool name up ;-) The implication being that "they came from above!" And as UFO's are clearly not as yet confirmed by anyone then you cannot state that they do exist in terms of being from another planet. For me it's a bit like God, a lot of people believe in some form of religious entity yet until you have proof I am not really all that interested, and like God, if the proof existed it's already too late! That's not sarcasm either, just plain truth. By sheer weight of numbers (i.e. infinity) the logical explination is that we are not alone, but judging by the vastness of infinity the chances of two planets making recognisable contact are pretty bloody remote. The chances of them popping in on a UFO and making their presence known is even more remote. Our first "contact" will be some water born droplet from Mars and whatever it might contain! It is however always intriguing to come across testimony or 3rd hand tales of people who have experienced something unexplainable or highly unusual. Imho I don't doubt their honesty (in most instances I would be sceptical), however I do think back to "Willow-the-wisp" which was for centuries believed to be the souls of the dead floating in the countryside in rural parts of Britain (and probably abroad too). In the end it turned out to be gas rising from boggy ground. Not saying this is what Karsten saw, but we are presented with scientific understanding of the moment and adhere our own interpretation to that which we observe. It may take centuries to arrive at an entirely plausible conclusion for UFO activity.
My favourite explaination for UFO sightings comes from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Me? I'm in the camp that believes the majority of sightings can be explained via earthly phenomena, but there's always some that defy such logic & we simply don't yet know enough to rule out the possibility.
