See, Limey that's the difference between you and me. You can state in 3 lines what took me several paragraphs! I think I like the sound of my own typing too much.

Heh! I actually have a reputation for being overly explicit & lengthy in my missives - I tend to try to be very careful to ensure that what I write cannot be misread/misinterpreted & is really what I mean to say. I used to be very bad about this & would spend hours crafting essays before I was happy with them. Nowdays, anyone reading my stuff is probably benefiting from the fact that I simply have less time/patience/attention span to be such a perfectionist!

I thought I saw a UFO once, but it turned out to be a weather balloon. No lie.

I've seen a few odd things, unfortunately nothing as crazy as what you saw Karsten.

Once years ago when I was a kid, both me and my little sister saw a black, fromless mass which was very, very high in the air. However you could tell that it was "morphing," as in it didn't hold to a particular shape. It was there one second and the next it was gone, however it was so high up it could have been anything. This thing couldn't have been a plane however becasue it didn't move at all.

Not that long ago I saw two multicolored cigar shaped "blobs," which were slowly ascending into the air. One was blue with white in the middle, the other red and white. Same thing, they were too far away to see clearly, and they also just disappeared once they got too high. Although they were moving too slow to be planes, they could have been anything.

I have seen something odd, similar to what Karsten explained. Funny enough it was on a school trip to Italy (somewhere near Lake Garda). Me and some buddies were sitting around on the street when one of them also spotted a bright blue light in the sky. It didnt move at first and was just there, doing nothing but being bright. After a few seconds (probably 2 or 3) it moved down at very fast speed. We all were pretty drunk, but this was not the effect of alcohol, heh. I saw the reflection of the light on the water, so it was definately there floating above. Sadly it was too far away to see if it caused any impact on the water. To take a guess on the size I would say it was about the size of a coke can.

We thought of it as some type of firecracker.. or something. Never really had the idea of it being an UFO. This happend back in 2001.

Seems Italy is a good target for things like this ;-)

I think that you saw something even more incredible, my friend! i saw a video on tv of such a shapeshifting-UFO and it was 100% exactly as you described!
itought it was fake, but after earing your story i'm believing the video too...

damn, such sightings seems to be quite a lot and realy similar one to another. If you ask people, so many of them saw such things but don't talk about...

Yeah I know the video you're talking about, the thing I saw unfortunately was nowhere near as cool as that. This was just a black, formless blob, really, really, really high up in the air, that didn't move. I took my eyes off it for half a second and it disappeared (however my sister saw it also, so I know it was real.) However it was too far away (high in the sky) to see any details.

myself, I believe that its probable that aliens exist, but I don't think they just frequent Earth and piss off. I think most UFOs are just natural phenomena etc, not extraterestrials.

I do belive in aliens.. but I would be supprised it they visited us.. no intelligent life can be that stuppid..
If I was from another planet send out to visit other planets, I would just pass this planet thinking "f*ck that!"

Yeah it is rather funny to imagine that alien life forms with the intelligence and technical abilities required to cross vast swathes of the Universe to visit earth would simply "buzz" us and not have the common decency to land, get out, take a leak or request an audience with the "Supreme Leader".

Not only is it a bit odd, but it would make no sense. Why take the time & resources required to achieve such a feat without making better use of their time when they get here?

I hate to double post, but...

To study us in our natural mannerisms. Perhaps they view us as inferior (which, in a mental capacity, we obviously are) and don't see a point in direct communication. Not with the general public, at least...

Would you act as you always do if a very odd-looking creature walked up and began talking to you? Would you carry on with your normal day while trying to not take notice of him as he studies your every move? Would you volunteer for a probing (couldn't resist)? I think not.
