IDE adapter for 3DO FZ-10

Last time I got mine shipped with EMS, so it's pretty safe (and insured, from what I recall).

 

Ment as in discounts and supplying us with the boards

People are put off by the $200 price tag, but a $120 (£70 inc postage?) price tag would help.
If its for the USB version that is.

But it wont be till end of April. Best to get one out of the way first, (id include here in the ED group buy, but few know me so there might be trust issues)

 

I would definitely be interested in a group buy, no way I'm paying 200$ for one. I would be really interested at 113$ but could got at 133$ if we can't find other people.

 

I got my installed with no problems recently. I bought a 128gb thumb drive and had some issues with it though. I eventually got it working by doing a "non quick" format on the drive for it be picked up by the 3DO.

 

I had problems with my hard drive as well. I was formatting HD using linux tools, and 3DO adapter is pretty picky on partition layout (gparted added some padding before partition), fixed it by simply formatting drive using windows.

 

Very interesting, I wonder if that was my problem.... Native windows couldn't fat32 the drive so I popped over to ubuntu to format. (quick format)... The 3do couldn't read it, so I gave up for the night. The next day, I did some research and according to kingston's FAQ you can convert a ntfs drive to fat32. So I reformatted the drive to NTFS and tried to convert. And I eventually found out their FAQ is wrong and you cannot convert ntfs to fat32. I did some more digging and found the hp disk format tool which allowed me to format fat32 greater then 32gb. I ran this thing (non quick format) and then the 3do picked it up. I honestly just assumed the linux and win32 were the same. And the quick format was the issue. Makes me think now it was the linux format...

 

Windows XP has FAT32 format option for hard drive. They replaced it with exFAT in Windows 7 (unsure about Vista, but I think nobody is using Vista ). I have XP machine at home, so it wasn't big deal for me. It could be done in Linux too, I was just too lazy to investigate into it further .

 

Well hello, i stumbled upon this thread and am very interested in getting a hold of one of these IDE44 type adapters.
But I dont want to register in a russian froum only to buy one adapter on the website i havent found any contact adress.
Can anyone help me or maybe have information about when there will be a new shippment and how to get those?

Don't think stonagegamer would discount the price. they buy them for the bulk discount price and then sell it for $200.

 

Wow, its like some people dont want a bargain, $200 is a bit much for a console that only have a few games worth playing.
So who is still up for a GB?

 

I am still wanting one. Not sure how it would work though if we are all in different countries.

 

Well the Everdrive group buy im doing on other forums (Retro gamer, Jamma+, Amibay, Retro Computer Museum would also include here, but im a relative unknown so people might not 100% trust me) is getting orders from all over the world, last one I did for the PCE one got an order for Japan.............

That sounds good to me. If you actually set this up, maybe a new thread with "group buy" in it would get more attention and probably more takers.

There is also a 50 post minimum to be able to sell on here. Not sure if this would be included in that rule also?
