I'm throwing the towel..... going retro.

If i want i can go to any store now and buy a Plasma TV and a Xbox360. But why would i do that if:

1- Spend a considerable ammount of money on a "HDTV-Ready" TV that does only 480p
2- Even though my DVD has progressive scan and i got Satellite TV, Brazil still hasn't got HDTV Channels
3- I'm happy with DVD's and PS2/PS1 games (also i'm planning on getting a Saturn), and i don't have this crazy need to have the latest technology. Why spending money on HD-DVD , Blu-ray, .... ?? (On 1st generation players i might add...)
4- Thankfully, i have other interests in my life other than games, movies and TV's.
5- I have bills to pay, so i can't go crazy shopping withouth planning.

The world today is all about BUY THIS, BUY THAT. People sometimes don't stop and think if they really need what they are actually buying.

Good point. If those TV's "died" so fast there would be a lot of people suing the manufacturers. Including stores.
