Muzzle Flash and Thousand Land are being shipped to me on Wednesday. I'll try 'em out and have first hand proof. :)

I'm sure about only ONE and only ONE game being region free on xbox 1, a capcom fighting game, street fighter live or something. I remember clearly play asia promoting the game on this. But that's the only exemple I totally remember. Don't think any other region free game has been released.

EDIT : here it is http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-4n-49-fr-70-9s0.html
    But i just found a more complete list : http://ntsc-uk.domino.org/showthread.php?t=11110 .
Interesting to notice that Xbox 360 region free games made very much noise but I don't remember any heard of xbox 1 "W-Code" games...

That's pretty cool. I had no idea there were that many.

I think one of the biggest mistakes I've made was buying a JPN XBox. I think I've got all of three games. I bet they are cheap in Japan though.

Since it didn't do too well there, I would think games should be cheaper. The normal places I look for games have them at more than I'd like to pay. Maybe I'm just a cheap ass.

it might be because no one in japan bought an xbox so the games are scarce, as well as micosofts lackluster marketing for the console in that region.

FYI, Metal Wolf Chaos ended at 13.000 Yen on Yahoo Auctions. And yes, it seems that Xbox games are getting scarce. While you can find some games at around 500 Yen (e.g. DOA3) it's hard to find a game that you are looking for. Most shops in my area only have small selections (30-50 different games) and they don't seem too keen on restocking. Then again, this is neither Tokyo nor Osaka.

So, I got the games and the both work on my Xbox. It's pretty sweet, all you have to have is a soft mod to play imports. Now, are there imports worth playing?

Muzzle Flash is pretty bad...poor graphics, gameplay, and animations...oh, and HORRIBLE voice acting. It is however completely in English which is nice cause I don't know any Japanese except teriyaki and domo arigato.

Thousand Land looks way better than Muzzle Flush er, Flash. I just can't figure out the controls, it's all in Japanese. The intro video is pretty cool though...I gotta get Metal Wolf Chaos cause I know that one's good. Are there any others?

i just bought an xbox the other day and modded it. No chip, no game hack. Just installed a new dashboard using small boot Cd on my pc, and hooking up the xbox hardrive to my pc. Worked like a charm. http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=496263

check this out, I think its called hotswaping.

Yup that's still quite possible but most of scene guys says it's a little dangerous for your console and your pc, and moreover, it deleted your warranty at the time. But it's totally possible tough.

You'd have to pay me a lot to LAN MuzzleFlash... :p

It is officially nothing more than a conversation piece.

it's not dangerous if you read all the tutorials from top to bottom. Comon.. it's just sawping a hardrive, not rocket science. If he reads trought the tuts, it should be safer then using a chip I guess.

Sure sure, I mean it's not dangerous for yourself but for the console itself : some guys said it bricked their xbox's hard drive long time ago so it had quite a bad reptutation. Moreover, at the time when xbox was still expensive and when keeping the warranty was quite appreciable... Now, sure that's a risk you can take, since a memory card and/or an adapter is almost as expensive as an used xbox...

I might be wrong, but if they bricked their Xbox it's probably because they didint read trought all the readmes and stuff. It took me a whole day to figure out what the hell i was doing and once i did, it took 15 minutes to get it done/modded. Has far as I'm concerned , it's worth it. You are of course in your right to think otherwise :)

I'd still rather just use mechinstaller.
