Are we distinguishing between the Spikeout arcade port and Spikeout: Battle Street? Because the latter definitely had an American release: http://games.teamxbox.com/xbox/911/Spikeout-Battle-Street/
I have a quick question, couldn't find an answer on Google... With the 360 backwards compatability, does it still follow the region codes? Like can I stick in a JP game and have it play, or stick a US game in a JP 360 and have it play, or no?
It appears that original JP copies work with the softmod, but what about ISOs? I was under the impression that you could just pop in a burned copy of Metal Wolf Chaos and let 'er rip. If it helps, my console is NTSC.
I myself am running a Metal Wolf Chaos on an Australian PAL box that was soft-modded with the Krayzie Splinter Cell soft-mod and it works fine so you should be right.
Any Xbox mod (softmod, TSOP flash, mod chip) will allow you to run region free so long as you have the appropriate BIOS loaded. -hl718
