I'd probably say about 90% sure RDT walker isn't a capcom tool. Firstly in 1998 you wouldn't have had a monitor that large, nor at that resolution. And secondly putting '?' as a menu option is a newish trend, back in 1998 it'd have been 'Help'

Plus the menu changed between screen shots and there's no trace of Japanese.

I don't believe that RE 1.5 will be ever released. It can't be released so easily. The story with Facebook group and those screenshots is just a one more cheat. I don't believe this. If they really had a prototype and wanted to share this to public they would be release it for a long time. This is just a deception. It's IMHO, of course.

All of those articles from the Greek version of GamePro can be found online in their original (American) English forms, which are available as high resolution scans and identical in terms of what screenshots are featured - even the page layouts are mostly the same, with only text changed in the majority of cases... I guess it's rather obvious why that would be the case!

Personally I have more faith in being able to play a mod of it than the actual game.

The fact remains that there are far more builds of 1.5 in the hands of collectors than other prototypes I could think of - just give it enough time (and for a copy to reach someone who's less afraid of legal action from Capcom) then we'll all be playing it soon enough. As for whether this ends up being a late era disc or something earlier and less complete, only time will tell... though at the moment we're looking at something from about the middle of its development cycle surfacing first, it seems! Of course, we don't really know what this latest team is capable of and whether they'll add any significant content from later into production, such as later backgrounds, cut scenes, puzzles or even all-new reconstructions of elements that can be seen in the PSMuseum/Complete Disc videos.

Those screenshots of what appears to be rather advanced editing tools suggests they at least know their way around Capcom's code and file structures, so I wouldn't be too worried. Indeed, my only hope is that they'll remain loyal to the original material and not incorporate too many ideas from the retail version of Biohazard 2, unless the reported gaps are just too large to be bridged any other way, that is. I'm fairly sure it's been mentioned already that most of the upper RPD floors may not have been implemented, or perhaps they remained untextured as with so many backgrounds extracted from the Trial Disc especially? Whatever happens, I'm sure many fans will still hold out for the source of all those pictures over at Bioflames to see the light of day.

This is supposedly what the group are doing though finishing it so it can be playable. As for puzzles I think that 1.5 barely had any, except maybe the crane in the freezer room, pressing the switch in the factory, and the powering up of the train. Apparently the water rushing out in to the sewers is just caused by walking near them, similar to the boulders in re 1, so that isn't a puzzle either. The emphasis seems more about survival and combat than the typical re 1/2 puzzles and key finding.

What about switching back on the lights in the RPD lobby, closing those shutters that can slice a zombie in half, accessing the basement/sewers through a covered manhole, pushing that box up to a switch so you can open a door near the factory (which is something that only Sherry could do, since she crawls through a ventilation tunnel) and collecting a disc to unlock the final escape door in the laboratory? Also, weren't there a few keys located in the full item list, not to mention the way you supposedly had to mix specific plants and ammunition types in order to create unique grenade rounds that could kill certain larger enemies? The prototype definitely had some puzzle elements, though on the other hand I can agree with Shinji Mikami's comments that it would have perhaps taken the series in too much of an action-based direction... not that I still don't want to play it one day, of course!

That's the reality , we are in 2012 and soon in 2013 and still nothing...
Collectors are very hard to find and buy them their unrealeased games will be very expensive.

Which i find funny, considering that the series has turned into an action based shooter since then. And yes, i think we all want to play it someday :)

I, like many, have been anticipating playing this since 1998. 15 years later, and many of us are STILL hopeful that we will get to play this some day. Hopefully that day is soon with the more recent developments, but as always, im not holding my breath for it. I will say this seems more promising than anything else so far.

Also, how much recent is it? Does it talk about the last news we received through the leaked screens or it's just a generic "we present you 1.5, for those who don't know it yet" article?
