Also, I'm amazed by the amount of people who'd claim to have 1.5 when they don't really have it ... makes me wonder ... imagine if the Nigerian Scam Industry (hereby referred to as the NSI) somehow acquired knowledge of profiled prototypes and tried to scam people!

Probably when everyone realizes that anyone can have RE 1.5 if they just cut one of the RE 2 discs in half and discard a portion of it. Ah, but seriously. I think Hank Hill said it best about these types of situations, "Some things are like a tire fire, trying to put it out only makes it worse. You just gotta grab a beer and let it burn."

 

I know the E3 1997 trailer reel for Resident Evil 2 has been uploaded many times before online, but I've never actually seen the whole thing in such great quality:

The first two minutes of this video has a few scenes that I've not previously noticed, including plenty of elements from the "1.5" prototype era of development!

 

Wow thanks for posting! It's funny how blatantly they mixed footage from the two games, it looks obvious in the LQ clips it looks even more obvious in this one! Perhaps they actually intended to keep some of the later sections like the Factory, or maybe at the time they didn't have much footage to show besides the retail RPD. Thinking on it it's probably the latter. When was E3 1997 held? It's like June/July right?

What i did notice on the video

The clipping zombie on the trash background
The unused zombie fall head cutscene, but it doesn´t contain the CG, and the shotgun is a SPAS-15
Claire uses the hunk's gun/the unused submachinegun that has a slot, but crashes when you try to use
Claire street section lacks more zombies?
