Personally, I'll trade in Black ops 2 and a few other games, I'd probably get a better deal anyways. Also the ones on ebay are loose, This one has the stands and everything, Personally boxed... I already have a F load of boxes in the furnace room lolz.
I have one and absolutely love it. It is a great piece for a collection and the games, I think, are nice to collect. You can choose collect them loose or CIB. If you want them loose, you'll save a lot. But imo it is cooler to collect them CIB. Some of them can get very expensive. I think the 4 most expensive CIB games would be: Tetris 3D, Nester's Funky Bowling, Waterworld and Jack Bros (this one you'll be lucky to find for less than US$200 complete with the box, manual and cart). So, if you have the money, I would say to go for it.

I've seen it mentioned many times that this is apparently a rare game, but I've seen it go for fairly cheap CIB... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RARE-JACK...ideo_Games_Video_Games_JS&hash=item27cbbb72ef Also of note, there's a VB flash cart available, the Flash Boy Plus. http://www.planetvb.com/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=4155&forum=7 It only holds one game and one save at a time, and it's not exactly bargain bin cheap ($100 I believe), but if you find you like the VB and want to try out some of the decent homebrew and a few unreleased protos, might be worth it.
The Japanese version is cheap, butt the US version costs over $100 for the cart alone. It's like Panzer Dragoon Saga where the Japanese version is dirt cheap yet the US version well over $300
It has a couple games worth playing, and atleast the library is really small so it's easy to get all the games worth really having, you could always invest in a flashboy too
I picked the system up, because I wanted to have at least one system, where I had all the games. With 13 titles for the US system, it was a snap. I can tell you after an hour with Bound High, you're hand will hurt lol. All are actually really great games... Wario Land T-Boxing Vertical Force Funky Bowling Jack Bros to name a few.... and... Japanese or Unreleased Dumped titles Space Squash Gundam SD Bound High
I remember really wanting a Virtual Boy when it was about to be released, then I heard that it had a problem with giving people headaches and I assumed later that was why it didn't catch on. Any truth to this? I'm curious whether you guys have experienced headaches or dizziness from the VB.
I only have problems with the VB going from using it back to the brightness of reality, makes my eyes a bit sore for a few seconds, but otherwise no issues.
I've never had a problem, like I said, it was really just the controller. Your arm would kill after awhile. It was the precursor for the Gamecube controller.
In fact, there are 14 US games: Gallactic Pinball Golf Jack Bros Mario Clash Mario Tennis Nester's Funky Bowling Panic Bomber Red Alarm Teleroboxer Tetris 3D Vertical Force Virtua League Baseball Wario Land Waterworld I forgot to mention that it can be expensive to have the US Mario Tennis CIB because the only boxes that exist are the ones used by Blockbuster to display the game back then.
I remember experiencing neck pain due to having to remain in a static position and having difficulty finding the right elevation to play the game without being hunched over, including the eye strain from the 3_D effect, all of which hampered extended periods of gameplay. Perhaps they dubbed it a Virtual "boy" , implying that it's something akin to the gameboy, as a means to categorize it as a casual gaming device with certain portability.
it is by far the fantastic display piece. No other game console from that era can match its weirdness for sure. ^ ^ I'm seriously considering to custom made Acrylic display case to put mine in so no little hands (and big hands) can touch it.
I remember getting my VB last year off of eBay for about $85, with controller+AC adapter, OEM stand, foam eyepiece, and Red Alarm included. I bought VB Wario Land for $15 later, and I've been occasionally picking up some other games for it since. I personally don't regret it, and I still enjoy playing Wario Land from time to time. If nothing else, it's a fantastic conversation piece.
Jeez i just had a look on ebay, new ones were going for $649 and some guy wanted $5K for one? Maaaaaaaaaaate tell him he's dreamin!
I don't know if you guys know, but 2 new Virtual Boy games have been released by uncletusk. The games are Bound High and Space Pinball. Bound High is supposed to be really good and Space Pinball is the prototype version of Galactic Pinball.
I'd get a Virtual boy if I had the spare cash to get one. Only games I would like to get would be Jack bros, Mario clash, and Wario world.
