    Got my chip and finally got around to installing it.

    All it does is either:
    A: Flash red
    B: Stay solid red
    C: Not boot copies

    An hour of testing the integrity of the circuit, I don't think it can be anything other than a dead chip. I think that I fried it with the heat from my iron. It's a 30W, so I have to be careful.

    Alas, I'll be ordering another soon. When does postage go up?

    If it's solid red something is wrong, desolder it and use wires instead of the built in pads.

    Worst case send the chip back and I will exchange it.
