Assuming it takes a minute to program it and a minute to read it back to verify you've got 2 minutes right there. 200 minutes= 3 hours and 20 minutes. That doesn't include grabbing a chip, popping it into the programmer, making sure it is seated correctly when it spits back an error indicating so, popping the chip out, putting it in a bin. Wash, rinse, repeat.

I'd imagine you'd want to blow your brains out after programming $300 worth of chips let alone putting it through a toaster oven to melt the solder paste and fixing whatever gets screwed up all for $3-5 per chip.

Speaking of which I'm interested in acquiring more if you still have stock.

Even if you could an NR Reader can't read retail games AFAIK. You'd have to at minimum find a way to make the thing read retails or patch the game data to work on an NR reader of which I know not of any way to do either off hand.

Yep, it's a difference in the physical drive, no chip has fixed that. You could swap drives between a retail and NR and a retail would suddenly read NR disks (and the other way around).

thats cool. Just might be getting my mitts on one in a few days but its still JAP only. I have seen them modified before but maybe it was a different chip.

    Cheers
