Only Japanese otaku's care about DOA4, but even then they feel there isn't much new about it, so I guess Xbox 360 might die even faster than the original Xbox. Unless the competition makes critical mistakes and Microsoft manages to strategical titles for Xbox 360... DOA4, DOAX2 and NG2 will only take you so far. ;)

I don't expect anything out of anyone. I don't report the news, I just point to it.

Yeah thats true, going through my SNES romset one night trying out some of the obscue japan games, most of them were really bad. Most of the good ones are the ones that were released in the US.

We missed A LOT of gems on almost all the systems, though. I think Tales of Phantasia is one of the best unreleased games out in the emu scene. Its finally coming out, which makes me wonder. Maybe Namco thought if it was popular enough and not even out, it would sell a lot? Hmmm. I dunno.

I agree that all the systems have game fodder, like really crappy games and stuff. I think you could have made a better name for it than "American Crap", though.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but its no fun when people try to cram their's down other's throats.

Mmm maybe Microsoft should've included dual faceplates eh? ;)

I wonder if Japanese support (except for titles that can sell in the West or are funded by Microsoft) will quickly fall off when the current sales trend continues... Sony is in an ideal position to announce it's plans at CES, they could retain their strong position if they play it smart.

Maybe DOA4 will raise sales to somewhere between 5000 and 20000 units, or perhaps even higher, but it won't have such a big impact.

Looks like Microsoft have finally learned that their adds were shit. There's a new one for Dragon Blue RPG which is much more Japanesey. Shows the director of the game working with the artist (even my wife knew who these guys were!) talking about a character design. Next it goes to a part of the game featuring that character. While all this is going on there's a beautiful piece of orchestral music playing in the background. A little too late for a change? We'll have to wait and see. The Dead or Alive 4 adds are also pretty good.

They should have had a completely different design for Japan, and no pc style games.

    werd.

No FPS's, the Japanese don't care.

Anyway, DS is pwnzing everyone and their metaphorical mother. Yay Nintendo.

X360 is nice hardware, but they need to get their ass in gear if they're going to sell any systems over there.

So spring is when PS3 comes out? In Japan and/or USA?

As for the 360 not selling. Its just culture differences. The american pop-culture doesn't appeal to the japanese pop-culture and vice-versa.

Not neccesarily. There are probably more Otakus in the US than in Japan.

Most of the Japanese are probably too proud to get something American. Its sort of like the Revolutionary war with America and Britain. Britain (Japan) sends colonists (games) to America. After the American colonists (Games) revolt (Get popular), there is a war (Japan doesnt like the American games).

I hope someone understands this post.
