well, actually they've been on air for two weeks now. Tonight I saw one that featured N3 which looks F-ing wonderful !! Unfortunately they are sticking with the shitty Jump In slogan and wank rock music playing over the game footage. Haven't they learned that the Japanese aren't interested in the American way of advertising? I just hope someone at Microsoft Japan pulls their head out of their arse and really gives this system some much needed attention in the advertising department. Yakumo
I saw a commercial for it 2 days ago here in sweden too. was some giant lizard / dinosaur thingu on the street, iirc. and the jump in slogan at the end.. of course
Yeah, I don't think japanese gamers are even keen on listening to old american rock music while seeing footage of FFXI for 360. I seen that comercial on the net recently.
N3 just looks wonderful. Although it may look traditional I'm sure the guys from Q will make it very addictive and compelling. Anyone know what the magazine adverts look like for the 360 in japan, I haven't imported a mag for a while. I remember the first gen of original xbox mag adverts were actually very good.
Good question. I haven't picked up a games mag in months !! I'll have to take a look over the weekend. Yakumo
Seriously, they just need to hire some idol to flog their wares, the american style commercials will just make people less interested, besides they probably aren't even seeing them with their commercial skipping HDDVR devices.
After watching more 360 adds on TV last night for Ridge Racer 6 that thankfully got rid of that annoying rock music I wondered if the console is in any shops yet. So today I went to the local Toy's R Us and there it was. God only knows what the crap they had running on it was though. Looks like a built in game. Not what you want to advertise your new console. saying that though, the guy in the photo was well in to the game. I waited 10 minutes for him to bugger off so that I could take a picture but he just wouldn't leave. The console is release on December 10th for the whopping price of 37000 yen !! Looks like I won't be getting one on day of release. The console comes with the 20 Gig HD, 1 month free Xbox Live, wireless pad with 4 batteries, lan cable, remote control, HD D-Terminal cable, head set and other stuff such as mouse pad, stickers and so on. There doesn't seem to be any console only pack at the moment. Day of release games are as follows according to my local Toys'R Us. Dead or Alive 4 Fifa 06 Tetris The Grand Master Ace Ridge Racer 6 Enchant Arm (EM) Perfect Ground Zero Games will cost between 5000 yen to 9000 yen ! Still, probably not as bad as Europe Yakumo
well , you guys are getting that whole thing for $306, we get it for $400, so and the console only version is $300, so i dont find that expensive at all.
That game he's playing is Hexic HD (a pretty fun little Xbox Live Arcade game btw) that's included on the Hard Drive (and accessible on the demo kiosks via the Media blade). You can load up the demo disc by quitting out of Hexic and accessing the demos from the Dashboard.
I like how japan demo units dont have the controller bolted down. :| Damn freaking american shits for destroying it for the rest of us. anyways, can't wait. I hope sega direct units get shipped out early since launch is on a saturday. If so I might get mine sooner (import shop i'm buying from is not exspecting stock untill monday the 12th so I wont get it till thursday/friday which blows. Oh also DOA 4 is delayed till the 17th. It's 1 week late.
The Target near me has the controller loose, not bolted down like most places. Much nicer to play when you aren't forced to stand with your face practically against the tv.
Yakumo you better get one at on day of release. is hard to get one in stored in u.s.a now soon I get one from a friend
Our ebgames had the controllers loose as well, but i dont know if the setup was done being put together or not
What are you on about? There are multiple versions of teh demo kiosk, and yes, we "freaking american shits" have both the wired and bolted down versions in stores.
