That's your opinion. I speak the truth it's your choice to deny the truth.

    Thank you:nod:

For someone who's wrong all the time, you can be remarkably pious.

Many gaijin who marry a J-girl fall into one of the following traps:

    1) girl wanted a green card/foreign citizenship, this often manifests itself in the form of the girl studying abroad in targetted country and preying on unsuspecting yellow fever victims who don't know that she is bottom of the barrel ugly until they come to Japan...obviously, the man will not end up happy in this case but these guys not being sharp don't figure it out for a long time or they are too much of a wimp & completely owned by their spouse

    2) working (non-eikaiwa) gaijin picks up a J-girl who is really just after the lifestyle/wallet of the man, once this runs out or changes (ie moves home), she is ready to move on too so game over for the man

    3) socially inept gaijin looks for random hookup that he would never score at home, j-girl intentionally is unsafe and gets pregnant = the traditional recipe for disaster

    4) otaku gaijin pretends he can communicate well in Japanese, gets J-girl in one of the above categories, years later when she leaves him, re realizes he never understood a thing she said

this looks rife for abuse - in London all the bars around the banking areas would be full of stackheel gold diggers. Unbeknownst to them a lot of the "bankers" were Essex wide boys who just splurged on a nice suit to help them get some action.

Though from that article some time ago the Japanese ladies hunting down at Heartland could smell IT workers/fraudsters 4000m down wind. :D

Oh, man. I will never live that down. One of my bosses was reciting the article in the office like it was a fucking poetry reading. [Pause] "...frauds, or worse... IT contractors". You could hear nothing but roars after that.

So how many of you are IT contractors then? Does anyone have a job in Japan that isn't a IT contractor or a English "teacher"...

Gaijin in Japan usually fall in to 3 job categories:
    1) finance related
    2) IT related
    3) English teacher

    I'm in category 1.

I was an "IT Contractor" my first year on the job. I've been full time after that, although *technically* I'm now a contractor again. I've worked in front office for about 7 years now, so everyone can lick my balls as far as I'm concerned. W/ the recent crisis, I think you're going to see a lot less rock star traders. The time of the geek may be coming.

That's "the article" DCharlie & I were referring to.

Just as a side question (don't want to jack too hard) (1-sentence PMs welcome) - What sort of experience/education/JP lang skills have people had going into IT in Japan, and is that how they entered?

This is very relevant to my interests. Screw English!

That link donut work for me!

Sales traders are on the way out and electronic strategies will take over in the next decade I imagine.
