Besides the fact I have a DS and use to be a GBA programmer. My Gcn actualy comes with a GB Player. It's the Gundam red gamecube i'm getting.
It's not too bad i found it fun but i have only played if for a few hours, the creating your own creature is quite a fun diversion in itself but at the start you only get a few bits to mess about with. If you can find it cheap enough i'd say go for it. Navigating the menus & stuff will be pretty easy but you might need a guide to solve some of the puzzles especially the poster one but apart from that it's not too hard.
If you play normal mode, you have hints in the map of which character you need to use in all the puzzles; and voices are all in english (except the ghosts ones, they talk with a vocoder effect).
So, My two games showed up yesterday. Still not gotten my jpn gamecube (it's in the mail) but luckly work has a jpn Wii so I got to play them today. First off, Kururin Squash is fantastic. I ment to play for 15 mins and end up wasting 45 mins before I realised what time it was and by then I beat the first boss and was 1 level into the 2nd world. Sadly this worries me a little because I fear i'll beat and be done with the game in a mear week. Still the game is quite fun. Now for jungle beats. Suprised it still plays well with a gcn controller but does get a little confusing. The boxing baddles were awsome. Over all I can see this game has having a pretty awsome concept going but maybe building it entirely around the bongo controllers limits it a bit. Still for $5 I can't complain one bit. Well worth picking up. The fact I have $90 in paypal temps me to buy more but i'm saving that for some other games in july. Wish I could find someone with a bunch of good jpn gcn games willing to dump them for cheap. -- edit -- Anybody know if the megaman collection made it out in japan? Also anybody try the gcn version of chrono Q?
Nope it never made it to japan. You should get some bongos for jungle beat your only having half the fun using a pad.
Maybe, I probably can still find them localy for cheap. I know a few times i've seen futureshop in montreal trying to ditch them for cheap.
